I know this isn't the point, but the manhua says the original goods charged the ml ₩200,000 a month for rent, but minimum wage in Korea is like ₩9160, so ml literally had to work 20 hours a month to pay rent which is incredibly reasonable - like the other stuff the guy did was super wrong, but he was giving the ml a really good deal on rent

I've just finished all the chapters of 'Beware of the Villainess' and I now have a craving for any similar type stories where the MC is intelligent enough to get what they want and almost disinterested in the idea of romance instead of the typical 'he's mean to me but why can't I stop thinking about him owo'. I'm only on chapter 8, but why is the group acting like MC is purposefully trying to sabotage them? He's the one doing them a favour - they couldn't debut with three so he's come to help, despite already having a well paid job, to make up the numbers! I'm kind of annoyed the plot's going the normal route of the MC having to prove himself to the team instead of the team appreciating that it's only because of the MC that they're still debuting and the MC is working hard to make up for his shortcomings!
