The story is great. Very realistic specially in the point of view of gays. Regardless of how good a relationship is, gays sometimes cannot hope for a relationship that will last FOREVER. It's not because they're destructive or negative or sad but it's the reality and how humans set life. Kind of a bummer but it's the truth.
I think that can be said for all relationships look at divorce statistics and if the law and society and religion did not but needless pressure on gay people they can last and even with all that when the UK and USA allowed gay marriage some of the couples that could finally get wed had been together 40,50 or longer years
