Ok, but all this part without the "romance" is really good. Her presiding the meeting and encroaching on the duke was really good.

I would have wanted to see how they receive the contest's results and how they deal with it. If I remember correctly Ichikawa loses, but from what it seems in this spinoff, they should have won, so I think it would have been interesting.

Objectively this is a really good story, good storytelling and compelling characters. It has a good depth as well. It's just that personally, I hate characters like the seme. I find him so unnerving and frustrating, I felt sorry for Shinoya. If you have no problem with wishy-washy, anxiety ridden leads, then you'll enjoy this story. It just wasn't my cup of tea.
