That doesn't make sense anymore because she already tried to fulfill that purpose in her previous life- she did everything according to the storyline and even died in the end yet she came right back to the past; isn't this a sign that maybe she should just live the way she wants instead of trying to live according to the story? They probably wouldn't have to disown him. Actually adopting with the intent of marriage is a real custom that happened in history and is still done today.
