I know this is fiction and not that serious.
But that's how delusional people keep oscillating from "everything has to go my way" and using others for whatever they want and then when shit explodes in their face they go "why is the world doing this to me" and victimizing themselves.
Like they don't realize how their actions have direct and indirect consequences that will fuck them up later on.
In fiction it's at least amusing to read.
