Rather than selfishness, I guess that's just how trauma goes
Hajin got triggered really bad, but Geonwoo is exactly the type of dude who sticks around and diligently puts in the work every day (it's no wonder he's an athlete)
He's not perfect, but he's exactly what an anxiety ridden, traumatized person, with commitments issues would need LOL
Ok this was kinda average at the beginning, I mean the story was good, but after you read a bunch of isekai, you know the formula and can tell where the story is going
For a good portion of the story I was seriously frustrated that Max, a perfectly nice dude, was pushed to the side for Gideon
I even thought "uuughh are we following that stupid rule from shoujos, where if the FL meets a boy when they're kids, then they WILL end up together in the future?"
But turns out I was extremely wrong hahaha
This is probably the only way I could forgive the Crown Prince for literally plunging a sword through her
The scene with him soon following her to death?
The angst of having to sacrifice the one person you love the most?
SO. GOOD.
And then!
Learning that the mastermind has the advantage in this lifetime bc he stole the prince's body?
AND the author also counterbalanced that with removing all his magic??
The amount of care in weaving a good storyline with twists and interesting characters is healing my soul
Even the crazy narcissistic bitch has an interesting backstory
I don't like her, or even think having a shit family justifies her actions, but this gives her character much more depth than "oh she's a crazy person who wants all the dudes for her"
And layered villains are the BEST villains bc it makes it much better when they're finally defeated
Anyways, this is GREAT
I'm wholeheartedly ready to wait for updates and long ass hiatus if the author manages to keep up THIS level of narrative
I mean, I literally grew up with Nana, Skip Beat, D. Gray Man and Berserk (rip), bring it on, I'm so fired up for this one
