It's always hilarious to me when in fiction they're like "don't worry I'll disguise myself"
Then they show up with half a mask, same hair and clothes
It's even funnier bc it seems unrealistic, but it's actually pretty accurate to real life
Once Henry Cavill walked around on a busy street, with a camera crew in tow and an interview literally pointed at him and asked people if they knew who he was
None of them recognized him
AND he was wearing a superman shirt LOL

This was very well done
He had a nice build up to become a true antagonist
And the thing inhabiting Yvonne is also a very good villain
I say this not bc I like them, but the best stories have antagonists that invoke a lot of emotion from the audience
And I can say with certainty that I despise "Yvonne" and Eclis gives me a terrible feeling of "it shouldn't have been like this"
Also, notice how only NOW his eyes have the blue shine?
That means before he wasn't being controlled by Yvonne, he wasn't being magically compelled to obey her
So his intention to drive Penelope into a corner and isolate her was genuinely him, not something Yvonne made him do
Also, I get that he's suffered a lot in his life
But his answer to not having Penelope's full attention shouldn't have been so toxic
Trauma doesn't excuse his behavior
The truth is, Eclis is not a good person. He's pitiful, his story is tragic and he can be nice, but he's objectively doesn't mean well
From what I'm gathering, "Yvonne" is only able to intensify what's already there when she's manipulating someone with the crystal
Even Derrick was able to temporarily cut off her influence
This shows that they don't become 100% puppets and a part of them agrees with what Yvonne tells them to do in some level
She's a good mastermind, but they aren't absent of guilt bc of that
I hope Calisto doesn't bring up that "haha we deserve each other bc we're black sheeps out here" again
Penelope genuinely has feelings for him and he while he's already helped her plenty, he needs to step it up and realize what she needs is love and emotional support right now
I don't know why I was so surprised
It's no wonder he had the same vibes as the og ajuicy
That being said, this completely changes my expectations for this story now
This has the potential to be 100+ chapters, with breakups, kidnapping, tragic arcs of "should I stop being a literal criminal for my love?" and "you're safer without him in your life" guilt trips
I think I'll let this one marinate now ( ̄∇ ̄")
