The king has horrible communication skills and doesn't really think straight. If you divorce someone it's obvious the person is going to think you dislike them. And if you do it right after your 1st married night then the person will also feel used. It's to be expected she would hate him so he should think himself lucky she doesn't have a grudge against him and only wants to live a peaceful life

Why cant she just tell him she found out her father and brother have been abusing her sister so she devided to run away? It's true and would help her avoid suspissions
