I really love all the characters as I find them all very complex and interesting (well maybe not Lawrence but we didn’t see much of him yet) like the mother, she’s showing very toxic behaviors towards her children yet we get to see her fragile side too and how she probably genuinely cares for them in her own twisted way. I can’t say I like her as a person, but that really make her character realistic.
That’s also what I liked with the 2 mains from the start, especially the ML. It really stuck with me how from the start he genuinely respected the MC’s smartness. Like even if he did not like her as a person, he could still respect that in her and was ready to put his feelings aside for the best because he could still appreciate her qualities. In my eyes it made him a very interesting character, more than many ML and a genuine good guy. And somehow a lot of the characters give me that kind of complexity in their action and relationships, like everything is not just al, black or white, just like it is in life.
For what little we saw of the saintess, she gave me that too, and I’m honestly really looking forward to her appearing in the story too because she seems very interesting as well.
Ouch this manga is very sad, all the more because it’s realistic. I’m not a gay man, but that part about not having anything good in middle school really hurts because honestly, I know so many people (me included) for who middle school was hell. Idk why harassment is such a huge thing when in middle school. It’s terrible. They somehow always find reason, even just wearing glasses can be enough!
Also I felt terrible at how his first time went, it’s good he was about to move on, but this part too, so realistic man. First time are almost always terrible things, mainly because of lack of information about sexuality.
Yeah but the thing that is terrible about his first time is that he “consented” to it. I know many people who ended up having sex in terrible way for their first time when they didn’t particularly want to, but there was always a bit of grooming/blackmail involved in it (conscious or not depending of the other person’s age). Of course everyone didn’t had a old pervert for their first time, but even if it’s a handsome youth, if you didn’t really want to have sex with him it feels no different (well, it does in manga so I guess that’s why they had to make him so creepy). And I’m saying that as a person who witnessed one of her friend forced to have sex (the other dude didn’t had any bad intention but it still felt like rape and I honestly don’t think I’ll ever forget this)
Anyway that’s what I meant by how realistic it was.
"The uke" what the fuck
Omg, I mean I know some people have it worst like getting raped. I wasn't implying that there weren't worst things out there. Hell a friend of mine in high school was raped by another student in school when she went clubbing. The worst. I thank got she wasn't killed or anything like that after. And when I said pervert, it doesn't matter if said pervert was old like in the manga. I was just sympathizing with the character's experience in the manga (the uke).
I wasn't implying as well that everyone had an old pervert for their first time.
I remember there being a video scandal during my first year in college of a female freshman student doing it. Later in the news it was mentioned it was her first time which explained all the crying in the video. And she was filmed with a hidden camera by the boy she was doing it with. This manga reminded me of this except the video was taken in his face and we don't know what'll happen to the video in this manga, or if it will be brought up again.
This is why I said that I can relate with the uke in this manga. It reminded me of what happened to people around me during my youth. And also that I can relate your feelings about middle school being hell. I don't remember my classmates and I having too much fun. Harassment and bullying was a frequent occurrence.
Omg. Yes I thought you were that person!XD seriously my bad. That person really sounded offended which I don't usually get from other people. I understand respect towards a story and characters, but really, I meant no disrespect calling the character "the uke". Im really bad at remembering names to begin with and its not until I read more chapters when I start remember the names of the characters. XD
No worries. I did pop out of nowhere so I don’t blame you. According to this comment ( http://www.mangago.zone/home/mangatopic/6224865/), both Nanasaki and his future husband are called Ryousuke. So to prevent confusion, Nanasaki is probably the better name to remember in the long run. Although the fact that they both share the same name might make it easier to recall... Speaking of which, if one of them adopts the other last name in the family register, will they both be called Nanasaki Ryousuke?
Thanks messy-mushroom and blantantescapist for the pardon!
Btw speaking about their names being the same after the adoption of the last name in the family register, if there aren't any nicknames at that point, I might be calling them Ryousuke seme and Ryousuke uke with the risk of pissing off other people I guess.
p sure what the kids are sayin is that calling a real dude an uke is disrespectful even if u don’t mean it negatively. I sure as hell don’t wanna be called that as a lesbian lol plus assuming a real guy’s position is weird as hell. call the guy “author” instead of uke so it won’t ruffle anyone’s feathers and it’s literally the safest nickname if it’s too hard to remember an asian name haha
Hmmm it's hard to describe but there is... at least if used on real people. I don't know what the words to use but when someone uses uke and seme to describe a person, it also comes with the stereotypes of that word... and coz of that, at least, for me, it feels uncomfortable. It's also because I learned of those words through yaoi/internet and not by culture.
Hmm I’m conflicted. Seems like the plot is going to take the classic “heroine is actually a bitch” except I’m sorry but right now I really pity her. Poor girl just want love and be noticed but alas she has a shitty dad who can only love one of his daughter (you sir should have thought of the consequences before sleeping around). Emperor may be a good dad to MC but he’s still a fucking bastard.
I mean, she might be scheming but she’s just a kid. When I was a kid I hated my bro and sis and always felt my parents loved them more even tho they spent a lot of time with me too and never showed blatant favoritism like that dad. I would fight all the time with my siblings for that and with them I was a real bxtch sometimes. I was also very lonely. That’s just how kids are. If the manhua is gonna take the easy road of the reverse villainess, showcasing the neglected child as the villain insteed of the father, welp I think I might as well drop it. Some stuff already didn’t sit quite right with me (like how the knight forgave so quickly the princess that bit him up so bad. Yeah it wasn’t the MC but still) and I’m really not up for a reverse Mary Sue
I agree, it's like that. But I read the raw, and I think that purple is also a reincarnator. Our mc sympathy with her, but she keep on scheming sh*t, so it got on my nerves.
And I think the reason why he loves our mc so much is because our mc doesn't have magic like others. Saw how others thought that he just brought that child in to give her the inheritance is clear on how much she would be suffering from the prejudice from those greedy pigs. Normal child will likely to grow a mental illness.
Unlike that girl, our mc is a clear and full blooded royalty. While she's just a legitimate child, so it's no wonder. I'm not being biased, just that there's no reason to pity her when our mc got that much prejudiced and all. She fell on purpose just to make everyone think our mc pushed her ( ̄へ ̄)
Guessing on where this is going, the hoe is probably willing to kill her own sister just to get her own happy ending even if that means killing her own sister and even if she didn’t directly kill her, she still lead her to death. So there is a difference than just fighting vs actually potentially killing over try to earn your parents favorite
I always wondered why chinese novels or manhwas always have these irrlogical mean jealous bitches...
It is the equivalent how Tyler Perry portrays negatively black women and use them to create more absurd melodrama.
Watch Telenovelas are Hell in YouTube :)
It bothers me that many readers don't realize the cause of this messed up situation/plot is the toxic arrogant ML, Father and the patriarchal system!
Well it’s supposed to exaggerate the fathers lover of the FL, anyways this trope is used a lot so you should be used to this. It also makes the story more interesting even though sometimes the characters choices are questionable. The “Heroine” is portrayed as a jealous bitch so that you will hate her.
But showing off favoritism isn't exactly a smart choice.
For someone who is a strong tyrant emperor he sucks at communicating with others or trying to make piece.
If he has a real honest talk with the heroine, it would very likely prevent further schemes.
So he has time on doting the MC but not enough time to reason with his other daughter?
And why does the jealous heroine only hates her half-sister but not her shitty biological father?
Again he is the cause of all this mess.
I like recommend the MC Ianna from Reminiscence Adonis.
She is a unwanted child being neglected and condemned by the father and his household because her obsessive mother tricked/forced him into making her his second wife.
Ianna resent her family and breaks all connections with them. By the time her mother is gone (killed by Ianna because she send an assassin to regain her stolen god power), the first wife convinced the father that Ianna is a pitiful soul and father + brother tries to make amends with her, it's too late. She is finally done this family and moved on to build her own life. Now her ex-family feels guilty for the rest of their life.
It is not about being an all happy idiot but actually to be competent enough to solve ongoing conflicts or take responsibility for your own actions.
I mean you also saw many soapy dramas... For a time you were really into it until you realize the plotholes, plot amors, questionable logic/decisions of the characters and the limit of suspension of disbelief...
I read that one. It's good. And yeah favoritism isn't good, but what if he gets close to the illegitimate child? People will start saying all over again that he will make her the heir. And I guess you already know what kind of era and those nobles are. #-.-)
Honestly, our mc sympathizes with her and she also love their father-daughter moment from the novel. Remember when mc met her the first time? Mc was actually excited for the father daughter moment. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
She could have stay still and be a good sister to our mc and stay quiet and be nice like the novel, but she didn't. You know why? Because she's also got isekai-ed and she wants to be the center of attention like the novel "heroine". ( ̄へ ̄)
Honestly speaking, mc would have tried to get along with her and introduce her to the emperor and somehow try to make him notice her. But it didn't go that way because she's b*tch who will trie every mean to eliminate her own sister just so everything will go like the "novel". (︶︿︶)=凸 (this emotion is for her, not you)
On the other hand, that emperor is lacking with a communication skill and Parenting skill. But do remember that royalties were raise like that. The only thing they needed back then was killing and scheming. ( ̄∇ ̄")
Ajsjsgsudhd chapter 116. I’m dead. What a blessing.
like fucking finally arwin, i was squealing the entire chapter
