cant stand this guy, okay so from my understanding:
-he has a crush on seungwoo but knowing almost all of his crushes end up falling for jingeon, he deliberately sets up a "fake crush" that was more of jingeon's type to set them up together
from jingeon's side, he's conflicted because "omg Heeseo might have found the one" but on the other hand, he likes Dongyeon. he's stuck between choosing his long-time friend and Dongyeon, which leads him to ultimately hurting and confusing Dongyeon
Dongyeon: he likes Jingeon but keeps getting mixed signals, he doesnt like Heeseo at all and wants to be with Jingeon (gets rejected by Jingeon who felt guilty for liking Heeseo's (fake) crush)
seungwoo: he has always liked Heeseo and wants to be closer to him, however heeseo lies about having a crush for whatever the fuck reason and keeps sending Seungoo mixed signals
TLDR: heeseo is a coward and confusing literally everyone because he didnt want seungwoo to fall in love with jingeon... what the fuck man
First off, I found the title and the first two volumes VERY misleading but I accepted it since sexuality is fluid, y'know? So as i started figuring out the ending pair, I soon brushed it off
The manwha as a whole deserves 2.5 stars. It was going sorta well UNTIL the millionaire guy started paying attention to MC AND when the adoptive girl's matters were resolved. It's like the creator had an understanding of the plot but then, they dumped it all out and decided to change it to a shoujo-esque type of story with a love triangle.
+ pts for unconventional beginning and outgoing MC, i guess?
I didn't like any of the characters, they were very rude, disrespectful, and nosy. Jin was okay (regarding his friendship with Bin) but his entire character was that of an oblivious (towards Bin's feelings) and (to the adoptive girl) stalker/side character in the end, so he wasn't a good character either.
What really irks me though is that the MC, Jin, and Yuri intruded on the adoptive girl's life and it was brushed off so easily, like damn! Give her some privacy, her family matters are for her to deal with!
Also! Why dedicate 3/4s of the story to her circumstances then have her disappear when its all resolved? Again, she had lots of issues and her character wasn't all good either.
What was with the homophobic dialogue in the story? It didn't affect the plot in the slightest way. Yuri was the MC's childhood crush and when they meet again, the readers are led to believe she's going to be another important character but nope. She's homophobic, and a toxic friend. Did her little dance, said little mean words, then walked off the stage after she met the brother. (who was also an unnecessary character!)
There are tons of flaws in this story but sigh, I wasnt expecting much from an old manwha. I wasn't upset about the ending pair, but more so about the plot direction and character settings that led up to the ending itself. Please don't waste your time with this. OTZ
Also, please disregard my grammar and spelling errors, it's difficult for me to put something in words (´ཀ`」 ∠)...
tl;dr - Story is a mess, the characters are a mess, don't believe the title, 2.5 stars. ( ̄へ ̄)
Also, to the homophobic commentators: LOL why be anonymous and use dead accounts? does being behind the screen give you the courage you lack to flaunt your homophobia?
Here's a piece of advice: go outside and touch some grass !!
Me reading the title: oh "utopia of homosexuality" *expects good representation*
The manga actually: *turns out to be really homophobic and literally gives the message that us whos LGBTQIA+ only can find "haven" if were with striaght
Also throwing in im bi
'sexuality is fluid' doesn't really apply here given that both were gay. It would be find if it was discovering their sexuality but this begins with them being gay and seemed like how they'd lead their lives with that identity to turn only into something else unexpected. other then that I wholeheartedly agree with your thoughts. This is such a disappointment, and yes to 2.5 stars.
