I feel so conflicted about this story. It was such an enjoyable read at first but it ended up being much deeper than I thought. But the thing I’m sure about is how I very much dislike Almon. One of the things I really really hate about people, this includes the FL’s friend, is how they leave the main character when they’re at their worst then come back with no explanation expecting them to behave as if nothing happened. You can’t fix what’s been broken because of you. Bastard
