This is a first for me, but I really liked the uke, I found him truly endearing.
About the story, I love the setting, about martial arts and demonic sects that I can usually only read about from novels, so it was a pleasure to read this in the form of a manhua/manhwa.
The grooming part hardly presented itself to me since the ML only started developing romantic feelings for the MC after realizing that he was an adult, he was 20 yo at the time.
For the rest, some of the most problematic plot points are very frequent mechanics in BL, and since this is just a fiction solely aimed for entertainment purposes, it hardly occurs to me to shun or despise it.
However, I've recently read my fair share of brain-dead plots, that would give the impression to suck up the remaining of my brain cells, but with as high of a rating as 9.4 and more. But, my god, how boring they where... though I assure you they weren't "problematic"
Thus, I came to enjoy the "problematic" stuff a bit more, since, compared to those mentioned previously, these at least have a bit more substance.

You know you fucked up as an author when you make the second alpha guy more interesting and more likable than the actual ml, who has pitiful screen time at the start. Sorry, the romance didn't work for me between the too leads. The MC and 2nd alpha had way more relationship development and cute moments. The main couple was being too dramatic. But aside from that, the 2nd alpha was so fiiiine.
So yeah, a little disappointed, might drop it.
Maybe it's cuz I just finished the low tide manhwa, and this doesn't hold up to it. Idk, but i still wish you guys a good read!

Lmao the author didn't fuck up anything when a minority of the readers can't agree with the main ship. Also Dohyun at first was pushy af and the reason he got interested with MC is due to MC hiding the fact that he's an omega, which is very shallow and put them in a very unequal ground since he kind of lowkey threatened MC to out him to ML, which MC told him in response that he "doesn't date brats" bc that's what Dohyun was in the beginning, an immature and manipulative brat.
Still Dohyun grew emotionally and he has his own love story. While his chemistry with MC was there, you can clearly see how one-sided it is and that in MC's eyes, he's "too young". This was a breath of fresh air for me lol since most BL MCs out there woulda used Dohyun as a rebound, which would be very unfair for Dohyun especially in the long run when he's fully invested.

I agree with all you've said. And that was my point btw, Dohyun's growth as a character from his initial flawed state, and the amount of screen time it required, makes you invested as a reader, even to a point of cheering for him instead of the ML. At the end you could feel the sincerity of his feeling, but he still chooses to put the MC's feelings first, and not to go against his wishes, whether when the MC was in heat, or questioning the ML's feelings for him.

I personally think this story was to act as a foundation for Alpha Trauma. In a way, MC and ML are already developed character with one huge misunderstanding separating them. It serves as contrast as well-- here in Omega Complex we have an MC who can talk about feelings and an ML who respects MC while in Alpha Trauma...

Honestly I look at Dohyun very fondly before being abruptly reminded of what he's capable of and then I just wanted to watch him getting run over by multiple trains consecutively and feed the remnants of his corpse to ravenous flesh-eating piranhas. I hope the manhwa artist does improve the story in a positive way, even though it'll be branded as an unfaithful adaptation

["Besides that he knows the guy likes him and is still having sex, he hasn't really done wrong though?? I'm actually pissed at those hating on the bottom because fact is people don't owe you return of feelings just because of sex."]
I would have agreed with such comments if the uke stopped having sex with the seme knowing the the seme likes him and would be suffering from him not reciprocating his feelings. It is just selfish behavior, and no amount of past trauma or whatsoever could change that fact.
People can react differently to traumatic events, but nothing can excuse the harm they commit.
Men who sleep around with many girls while knowing they have feelings for himm would be heavily criticized but not the frail, pitiful and harmless women/ukes who do the same.
I'm not condoning doing either (criticizing both parties for being whores and whatsoever), but the thing is: The seme is still suffering from the uke's deliberate behavior.
You can tell me, why should the uke care if he's making him suffer, and I'd tell you, you're totally right. And that's what makes his behavior selfish.
I don't mean it as "He is selfish for not returning his feelings", but as "he is selfish for prolonging his suffering without rejecting him and no longer fucking with him."
The next question would be "is it wrong to be selfish?", the answer is simple "no of course, everyone does whatever they like".
All this to say, (yeah I had to write all this introduction cuz nowadays, expressing opinions that are negative against ukes/w is simply blasphemous): I don't like the uke's behaviors, I'd prefer for the seme to find someone who would truely value him and let someone else heal that uke, although I know it would only depend on author-sama's good will and, spoiler alert, I know that wouldn't happen.

Well I enjoyed it, the best chapter for me was chapter 5 with the ml finally realizing how much he hurt the mc. The ml went through a character growth and witnessing that was the most entertaining, at least it was less boring than the usual perfect ml with his most tragic unrequited love.
I find the ratings unfair, because this is the first time that I could manage to really hate a ml successfully and wish he would suffer the consequences of his behavior. We shouldn't be rating this based on whether we'd go out with the ml or not, right... right? Well, I'll just leave this here.
“Eh? He’s an omega? Not just any omega, he’s a super sexy omega!!?”
The wording I can't get over it :')))) Help I'm dying
