I think this is some progress in a weird way. Like if you think about it, he got the toy even tho the whole point of it is to pleasure the other person and not himself, so in a way, he wants Dan to feel good like how he got off to Dan feeling good on the couch in that one scene when he played with his nips for the first time. It may be small but I think it’s something at least? Like he’s still a piece of shit don’t get me wrong, but maybe?
