The parallels between cirrus and chan il in terms of jealousy. Although we know what jealousy made and makes cirrus do,we don't know what it does for chan il. Though it would be in character for chan il to deal with it normally like ask his gf what happened because he does not have all the problems cirrus does and it would also be a nice contrast between them. But I'm sensing that won't happen
It's low-key funny that the devil(or something similar) only consumes women's souls. All of the human kind has sin,but he still would only go for women, wich is the thing that most people probably think it's weird and misogynistic. It's kinda a metaphor for real life tbh.
Think about what the 2 women until now did, one lied, one cheated, not the biggest immoral conduct one could have, but because they're women , it's more annoying, more evil.
Especially the first one, she lied(pretty big lies), and manipulated our mc into being in a veryyy toxic relationship with her. Ok first of all i do not condemn victim blaming, but why the hell did our mc, a psychologist get into bed with her?!?! Incredibly unprofessional, bro did not even do his job right, after getting into bed he kinda just started being passive about her, the what the devil guy said about him is true! I'm not saying she wasn't scummy, but if he didn't get into bed,the boundaries wouldn't be crossed, he didn't care to see if she was lying. But what really drives it home is that she was clearly mentally unwell, the lies were clearly a cry for help, there was no ghost like with the second women, she was just unwell and what the devil tells us(by eating her soul and liking the flavour) is that mentally unwell women(that cat bad don't get me wrong) are evil, are a sin that deserve to be eaten. Would we say the same thing about a man (btw that man would be attractive cause she was attractive, imagine the first woman but as a man, would you be forgiving and try to help? I would)
The second women was a cheater and her ghost husband was mad and wanted to kill the baby. I also envision a man cheating and a ghost women trying to kill his baby so like that oart is all well and good because it between humans, we get angry, hold grudges and do immoral stuff because of that or other things. But when the devil steps in to take in her soul it says "this is the pinnacle of sin, this will get you eaten" and it's like.... really? Cheaters?liars?
And to end it all,the one who watches, enjoys what he sees(ok his reason is not conventional but still) and low-key helps is our mc, a man. He watches in silence the violence, doesn't help and tries to justify himself, it's kind poetic.
Do I think the manga is doing this on purpose? No, except the mc's part, but I still like what I've seen so far.
bro wrote an entire reflection
Preach brotha
RIGHT??? I couldn't put it into words till now, but it's exactly how I feel! This world men are horrible, but the only ones the "devil" goes for is the women doing bad things, while the men are disgusting or tasteless to him.
