Wtf is wrong with Jiho? Right after Eunchae just told him how he felt uncomfortable about him hanging out alone with Hyunmin, he had the audacity to do it again. Like is he really this oblivious? I suppose this is really making eunchae question whether it would’ve mattered if Jiho and he hooked up while under the influence and not Jiho and Hyunmin. Because it seems like Jiho would’ve just dated whoever he slept with! (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

Mr. Edwards brought up some interesting perspective on Lily’s behavior. I do think Lily has kind intentions, although her upbringing has left her ignorant and naive about life outside of money and titles. But I also agree with Mr. Edwards that she does these things to appear like a kind, generous and understanding person in front of others (this is just what people do and Id even say Mr. Edwards is a hypocrite for not recognizing that in himself). I mean, in the society she lives in, it’s all about superficiality and nepotism, rather than judgement on hard work or actual skills/talent, so of course appearance matters. From his perspective her concern would obviously seem frivolous and as if she’s looking down on his commoner background. This only becomes more complicated because of the power dynamics between her and her servants. But hopefully the next chapter will expand on that before I have a fully formed opinion on that.

You know what’s funny. I almost felt bad for Makoto when he began to tear up while saying he tried to love his wife but couldn’t, but then pg 14 hit and I realized that this manga had a very funny and disgusting way of glossing over and romanticizing pedophilia and sexual predators as if these things are okay and naturally a part of the lgbt community.

Right?! Like I honestly thought the author was going to address the problematic relationship between Jun and Makoto. But no! Instead the author grossly sexualizes it and then tries to make you pity Makoto because he has an attraction to HIS OWN SON and paints it as if it was sexuality issue rather than this man having a psychological or mental issue.

Arrggh, I’m so disappointed by how this ended up. The beginning was promising then the moment Jun jumped out the window it felt like we jumped into another story all together. Here’s a list of things that just went terrible:
Pacing (where the hell did it go??!!)
Forced plot lines (when did we ever meet Jun’s mom prior to his jump?? Or when did Jun have tension with his mother? Did I miss a chapter??? The way the story introduced her and her interaction with Jun felt forced)
Bad character development ( It’s just so bad. Jun suddenly has an entirely new outlook on life just because Miura made that ridiculous speech on stage.Onda suddenly encouraging Jun despite being his main antagonist. And even if it’s out of guilt it isn’t even shown. Jun’s best friend having the personality of a generic shounen lead, which means having no bad opinions at all and having superficial depth. Miura’s role overall is just wasted potential and her speech was the worst attempt of exposition I’ve seen in a while)
Tone ( At first this story felt realistic, as though it was grounded on real issues and topics in the real world, although a bit angsty but the angst was warranted. Then logic goes out the window as issues are being resolved despite the lack of build up or exploration onto the issues the story introduced. And let’s not even get started on Miura’s speech. #-.-)
Honestly I’m just in shock how fast this story went from refreshing to a mess.
It seems to me that although Eunchae still has feelings for Jiho, he probably believes that because the beginning of these feelings were superficial (more about lust than romantic interest) that it’s best to not continue. Which I think is dumb and just an easy way to dismiss their problems rather than talking it out like adults. Futhermore, I still have no idea why Eunchae thought meeting Hyun was a good idea. I mean, nothing was accomplished and even though he was causing a rift in your relationship, it was a conversation he should’ve had with Jiho, the guy he was in a committed relationship with. At this point I wonder if Eunchae even has hopes of getting back together after moving and cutting off all communication, because to me the issues he’s dealing with cannot be solved unless he includes the other person in the relationship!
Instead of having a proper talk, Eunchae suggests that they take a break. And then he moved without telling Jiho. Jiho misses Eunchae, and the only person who knows about them is Hyun. I can’t really fault him for meeting Hyun because he’s lonely and Eunchae’s nowhere to be found. :/ This stresses me out lol
