Ok I love Hyeondo but must admit that I kinda hate that Iseon is very much relatable to myself. We have this almost same thinking that I can understand him. I honestly accepted that fact that we may turned out weird in other's eyes. At some point we are the type of people who would let others pass our lives. Giving space for the other person thinking that's for the better. Bec that's what we thought. I believe everyone has their own ways on things. No one can exactly say it's the right or wrong right away as it varies in every situation. I think this is why that is titled as "the selfish romance". Iseon's way of being in love will never satisfy Yoomin. And Hyeondo can love her the way Yumin wanted him or more than that. So is Sojeong and Hyeondo's case. They may love the other person but it will never match with the other. They got their own selfishness.
If the father got that genes passed onto his sons, that's when I well say thank you. Eunsan and Eunpa looked so fine.
It's been a while since I last read this series here. For this one, since I've finished the novel, I just follow the official ones. I usually drop by here if I want to discuss something since my Korean is really bad. Now, I just check on this and boom I'm surprised by the issue of "grooming"? Sure they have a huge age gap but I believe, this wasn't an issue reading the novel.. so I'm surprised that this became a topic here. I've seen a lot of commenters here explaining how is this ain't like that and surely they've explained it well. Pls. before you label something, do a thorough research. There are popular BL manhwas out there that's more problematic-- no consent, just all s3x, and red-black flag MLs. Compared to those, this one got the plot.
without checking on the artist I know it's Pibi-nim. I can really see Wonyoung and Taejoon. Not complaining though. It's like an AU lol. But one thing I noticed is artist-nim really did improve her art.
Wait I'm just here reading the comments. I've actually finished the novel and is updated with the raw chapters. The thing is I don't get some comments here. Like some readers don't get the mother or the sister's point? Idk where you guys grew up but pls know Korea is still a conservative country. Same sex relationship is still a sensitive topic if we talk about Asia. You see Chaeheon and Jeongyoon wouldn't have to go through the hassle of hiding their relationship in the public if they're living in an era where everyone is open minded. While there are some may engage in that type of relationship, still there people who will judge them. The author of this manhwa is a Korean obviously they know how it's going there. Don't forget that misogynistic mentality is still prevalent in their country so how much more if we talk about the 3rd sex. They have a warm and loving family so it's valid for parent's feelings to be worried for their child esp it's them who nurtured them only to face the harsh judgement of other people. It's easy to say, that they will there for the child but it's not them who receive the direct hit but their child.
Since the beginning, I really love his sister. I mean it's very common that you ask your little brother to take care of some stuffs for you/ran some errands . But I remember she even spoiled him when she took him overseas. The very common elder sister who would always ask their younger sibs to accompany them but will always bribe them. Now, we have her getting stressed over again about her little brother's relationship. They're so real in my opinion. Well, as for the mother, at some point I get her, we want our child to be normal if possible and that includes in the eyes of the society. Let's admit it not everyone esp those in the older generation is/are open in the same sex relationships. They really love Jeongyoon and as much as possible they don't want for him be hurt by the harsh society. This is Korea we're talking about still part of Asia where we have conservative mentality. Anyway, they love this guy and his family not that close minded, surely it will work out in the end.
Heads up!!!!!!.... This contains a little spoiler from the novel.... Okay it seems like that artist will give Lize/author a happy ending together with Cliff or they will fall together. Idk if it's a good thing or bad. The artist is obviously doing some mix and match here. The knight turned out to be a royal when in fact this story is about the nephew.
In the novel Cliff had his happy ending with another person after his marriage with Lize fell out. There, I honestly liked that it's just the author who had her downfall. After all the manipulations on every characters and using and killing every 'Edith' you're giving her chance. She wanted the whole world to revolve around her main character and created a villain to make her MC/Lize shine more when in reality not all people can be pleased. Why make another person a villain just for you to shine more.
Is it just me, or the pacing is kinda fast? Not like I'm complaining though. Hahaha Sorry I've been seeing lots of hates on Chase. So, just wanna move onto the very core of Chase's character. Still, I will not excuse the things he did. He almost k-worded his other half (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
Hmm correct me if I'm wrong but I kinda remember that in the novel, Edith(with Killian) unknowingly saved a supposed to be a royal(?). It's been a long time since I read this I may have mixed this with the others. But, the current flow of manhwa is very different now with how it was in the novel.
Maybe, it's this part? Also, this may help leverage the status of the knight so he can be with the princess(?)
Wait while I read some parts of the novel and haven't finished it yet, I don't remember it is where it ended. What happened to the the artist?
So, who has seen the raws up to the 72nd chapter???
I honestly don't know if I should continue reading this one. Or let this marinate more. Cause, I'm surprised with the sudden turn of events lol. She just came back and then she'll fight with her husband using sword?!!! A sword that came out of nowhere
I'm not updated in the manhua raws but as someone who read the novel a long time ago, I can definitely say that they've skipped a lot of scenes here. Xia Sini were totally omitted plus how come they were on this part already?!!! it seems a some chapters are missing.
We're on in the angsty arc (╥﹏╥)
It's a good thing though that Seongwoon kept a lot of Yeonwoo related stuffs. I hope this will help in him getting the gist who Yeonwoo is in his life ૮ ⸝⸝o · o⸝⸝ ა Pls. Treat our baby well even without memories(⸝⸝o‸o⸝⸝)
Ok the ML is, obviously, Kwon Lim, the eldest brother.
While MC is pinning for his friend, the big brother has been into him for a long time too. From what it seems, it started from curiosity to him developing feelings for the MC(or it could from the first time they met cos why would you take notice your brother's friend who is 5yrs younger than you if you're not interested with them). I'm not actually sure if KwonLim knows MC's feelings for his brother since the first time they met or while he was silently observing him.
According to some readers, this is more on about the development of the relationship between the two but of course there's the brother/friend that sometimes will take some screentime and would cause some "emotional rift" between the two. It seems most of the readers find ML to be lovable because of his character but also they find Haekyoung to be annoying because of his push or pull character. I think most characters here find ML difficult in terms of character but he's the type that's very different when it come with the MC.
Also, from what I read ML started acting because of MC. Not sure how true. But yep he's down bad for Haekyoung.
Something I don't understand is according to some reviews they say that while Kwon Lim has a crush on him for a long time, he is not a virgin. While Haekyoung, his first is Kwon Lim. But, they also said that for Kwon Rim, there's nothing else for him but Haegyoung. This is the part that I don't get.
ngl I was actually anticipating Wooyeon cussing in English uncensored. Novel did just narrate that he did cuss in English just like here so I wanna see what did he say to that senior. Anyhow, I liked the way they adapted this too.
I don't even have their music score but it's like I can hear their music. Am I the only one crying here????????????????? aaaaaAaAAaaAA
Idk why others labeled him as red flag. But I read the novel and finished it already. And I don't remember him being one. Idk if it's because I just used google translate. lol
Sure, he has his own issues but Wooyeon later admitted it that it wasn't just his(ML's) own fault. It was due to certain circumstances. Dohyun has been genuine to him. Yes, he hid a lot from him because of his insecurities but ALL the things he did with Wooyeon were sincere. Even as a his tutor, he was even looking forward to the hours he will spent with him. Yes, he was full of guilt because he had to report to Suhyang(MC's mom i honestly don't know if I got the name right) everything but I think it was just right as the parent who's been paying you to report what was going on with her son. The mother and son, if you think about it, got a very awkward relationship. His mom is overprotective and is bad at expressing herself. It's like those love interests who are bad at showing their affections and often misunderstood(this time in the body of a woman lol) I wonder how she treated her partner that it even extended to SeonWooyeon lol.
ML as manipulator? Idk if you trying to analyze everything then used your maturity to your advantage can be called as manipulation. Dohyun matured at an early age, he did his best so he will be chosen for adoption. I believe him having the maturity and using it to his advantage is very normal and human. It's not like he had to step on someone using those qualities of him. Yes, he faked his smile but still never he had ill intent unto others.
Also, pls I feel him after reading his POV also haha yes we got an ML who cries.
Idk if I've said this already. But, anyway will say it now. Hakyung and Yoonsung compliments each other. Hakyung's character is portrayed to be someone who will do anything for the people he loves. He will always prioritise his family. Cos why not.. His mom and even his brother do the same and are very loveable people. They're a set of loving family. He will pull out from his any relationship for the sake of his family. He'll sacrifice it. Now, Yoonsung is the type of person who has every materialistic things. He obviously has good relationship with other people. But the very person he wanted for his life is the one that's not there. His character is already said that once he is set to something, he will push to get it. And he does that with Hakyung who has a lot to weigh on. Hakyung may push Yoonsung away, but, Yoonsung will always pull Hakyung to be with him. Hakyung tends to need a lot of time to take care of things while Yoonsung is the type who will always wait for him.
Also, if you read the novel, in the end, Yoonsung has the power over his family so regardless of whatever the circumstances, his family got no choice but to accept Hakyung as his partner(Yoonsung's loved by his family too yk). If Hakyung is the inferior type, we got Yoonsung who is a dominant type hahaha
When I read the novel, I know for sure that the ML has a stalker vibes. That's why I'm not that surprised when the author drop this thing about his album. I'm even more surprised by the fact that it's not him who took those shots. Why am I not surprised? Come on.. this guy has been pinning for him since their HS days that he even followed him to his College of choice, is in almost same circle as his and went on to his own military service the moment he knew Jeongyoon's enlistment. He may be on a different major and/or group but still he made sure that he can still be connected with him even without direct interaction.
