tbh I didn't know Pibi-nim would come up with this kind of ML lol. ULS went from a simple shounen ai to yaoi on the very later part. Simple gestures of love from Taejoon is already enough for me. Doesn't matter if it will not have r-19 scenes. At that time I can already feel he's in love Wonyoung with just simple touches and that lantern scene lol. Now, I'm so surprised that Ian Ryu going all freaky from the moment he knew Eunsan is divorced. He wasted no time to get any opportunity he can. Lol how did this guy survive knowing the married Eunsan.

Ok I love Hyeondo but must admit that I kinda hate that Iseon is very much relatable to myself. We have this almost same thinking that I can understand him. I honestly accepted that fact that we may turned out weird in other's eyes. At some point we are the type of people who would let others pass our lives. Giving space for the other person thinking that's for the better. Bec that's what we thought. I believe everyone has their own ways on things. No one can exactly say it's the right or wrong right away as it varies in every situation. I think this is why that is titled as "the selfish romance". Iseon's way of being in love will never satisfy Yoomin. And Hyeondo can love her the way Yumin wanted him or more than that. So is Sojeong and Hyeondo's case. They may love the other person but it will never match with the other. They got their own selfishness.

Iseon actually is a selfish ass and not because he’s aro. There’s nothing wrong with not feeling romantic attraction, that’s ok, you can still have a healthy partnership if you choose but you have to tell the person you want to be with so that expectations are tempered. There is nothing inherently wrong with identifying with the way Iseon feels. The point in which he becomes a selfish ass is when he’s like “ But… I probably won’t be able to give you what you want…” and didn’t tell her about he feels and what love looks like for him. Leaving her to accept that feeling that something was wrong in the relationship but ignore it because she loves him enough to do that. He took advantage of how much she loves him. That was actually selfish. He literally didn’t need to keep it a secret.

Yes that’s exactly my thought, too. It’s not about the fact he’s aro, it’s the fact he himself accepted it, knew about his preferences, and lead her to believe it was basically “love”—when it was really just platonic with one sided feelings. It’s messed up and messy in general. I genuinely feel pity for Yoomin, & indifferent to Iseon for playing like that

It's been a while since I last read this series here. For this one, since I've finished the novel, I just follow the official ones. I usually drop by here if I want to discuss something since my Korean is really bad. Now, I just check on this and boom I'm surprised by the issue of "grooming"? Sure they have a huge age gap but I believe, this wasn't an issue reading the novel.. so I'm surprised that this became a topic here. I've seen a lot of commenters here explaining how is this ain't like that and surely they've explained it well. Pls. before you label something, do a thorough research. There are popular BL manhwas out there that's more problematic-- no consent, just all s3x, and red-black flag MLs. Compared to those, this one got the plot.

Wait I'm just here reading the comments. I've actually finished the novel and is updated with the raw chapters. The thing is I don't get some comments here. Like some readers don't get the mother or the sister's point? Idk where you guys grew up but pls know Korea is still a conservative country. Same sex relationship is still a sensitive topic if we talk about Asia. You see Chaeheon and Jeongyoon wouldn't have to go through the hassle of hiding their relationship in the public if they're living in an era where everyone is open minded. While there are some may engage in that type of relationship, still there people who will judge them. The author of this manhwa is a Korean obviously they know how it's going there. Don't forget that misogynistic mentality is still prevalent in their country so how much more if we talk about the 3rd sex. They have a warm and loving family so it's valid for parent's feelings to be worried for their child esp it's them who nurtured them only to face the harsh judgement of other people. It's easy to say, that they will there for the child but it's not them who receive the direct hit but their child.

Correct, and it’s not just an issue in South Korea, anyone who doesn’t fit in is often called a 'weirdo' and left out or mocked in this world. Take young Elon Musk, he was mocked when he dreamed of making space travel affordable for everyone. When Neil Armstrong dismissed his vision as ridiculous, Musk was hurt he broke down in tears during an interview. His tears were a mix of frustration, doubt, and feeling isolated from the pioneer he had always admired. He was discouraged and financially strained. When you think outside the box, people often try to shut you down.

Since the beginning, I really love his sister. I mean it's very common that you ask your little brother to take care of some stuffs for you/ran some errands . But I remember she even spoiled him when she took him overseas. The very common elder sister who would always ask their younger sibs to accompany them but will always bribe them. Now, we have her getting stressed over again about her little brother's relationship. They're so real in my opinion. Well, as for the mother, at some point I get her, we want our child to be normal if possible and that includes in the eyes of the society. Let's admit it not everyone esp those in the older generation is/are open in the same sex relationships. They really love Jeongyoon and as much as possible they don't want for him be hurt by the harsh society. This is Korea we're talking about still part of Asia where we have conservative mentality. Anyway, they love this guy and his family not that close minded, surely it will work out in the end.

Heads up!!!!!!.... This contains a little spoiler from the novel.... Okay it seems like that artist will give Lize/author a happy ending together with Cliff or they will fall together. Idk if it's a good thing or bad. The artist is obviously doing some mix and match here. The knight turned out to be a royal when in fact this story is about the nephew.
In the novel Cliff had his happy ending with another person after his marriage with Lize fell out. There, I honestly liked that it's just the author who had her downfall. After all the manipulations on every characters and using and killing every 'Edith' you're giving her chance. She wanted the whole world to revolve around her main character and created a villain to make her MC/Lize shine more when in reality not all people can be pleased. Why make another person a villain just for you to shine more.

I did enjoyed Edith's ending in that cozy castle, BUT I wasn't happy with the In-laws and Cliff's ending, like they kept the author in the family after all she had done, the only nice part was Lize cheating on Cliff.
I hate Cliff so much that I hope he ends up on the streets and completely crazy because he couldn't find the author.

uhm no. If it's the manhwa, it's just my assumption that the artist is giving Cliff and Lize/author a happy ending together.
If we talk about the novel, it wasn't like this. That's what I meant. Sorry if my comment was a little confusing. I've experienced some of my thoughts were auto replaced by my keyboard's dictionary or some were cut. I've tried to edit it that I tend to miss some parts in my thoughts, punctuation marks, etc. Anyway, back to the novel version of this series. Cliff and Lize were then married but had to separate then as Lize's character can't be redeemed. She turned worst but her ending wasn't that bad as she was sent to convent. And as for Cliff, he found a new love. That's how it was different with the manhwa version.

Actually, at some point I like the version of in-laws here where they then realized how wrong they are but what doesn't sit right for me is the part that since Lize and Cliff were a failure, we have Killian and Edith to have replace their position. I liked more the premise of Edith and Killian building their own territory with their own power. Tbf, Killian and Cliff at some point had a good relationship, it's not in his character to see his brother's down fall. So better leave Cliff the position that was set to him and see the effects of what their parents have sown for years.
I agree too that at some point I hated Cliff esp on how antagonistic his character towards Edith. Also, from what I see now he's just obsessed with Lize.
All I can say is Jeongyoon is very much loved and I understand why. I know some still don't agree with how his parents babies him. But all I can see is whether it's his family, friends or lover, they don't want him to encounter mishaps that may bother, hurt and at some point suddenly change him. Jeongyoon is such a precious existence for them that they tend to be overprotective.
