I even think that Khaol felt guilty only when he saw how good River is living now. And also, he says he loves River but still can't let go of Kaveri so why are people still tryna find excuses that they do understand Khaol's part.

i mean kaveri was his true love and they were separated due to unfortunate circumstances and he fell in love with river against his own will even tho he loved river his desire, love, and need for kaveri built up over time and he literally just took the first chance he got without thinking it through. look I'm no defending him cause he is a fucking piece of shit but then again.....(￣∇￣")

I honestly would rather River would be with Heil because Heil makes River feel satisfied and contented whereas Khaol used to make him feel alone because of how much he pushed him away. Khaol even kept thinking of Kaveri while being with River. Has Heil betrayed River? Has he Pushed him away and sacrificed him? No. This makes him so much better than Khaol. Think about what River deserves. Does he deserve Heil, this kind man who has never done anything to break his heart. Or Khaol, who has sacrificed him, used him, and now acting shameless on front of him. I don’t hate Khaol, In fact I want him to redeem himself. But when it comes to River, Heil is the one for him.

But for those who shipped khaol and river and I'm one of them, it's too complicated. That's what makes it sad for us. We wished that there will be happy ending for the two of them but...

If river is destined to love heil, yeah let's that be and it is more better.
