Well, I guess it wouldn’t work for someone that is in a agreed upon monogamist relationship And can’t imagine being with anybody else nor their partner having more than one romantic partner, but that doesn’t mean it is that way for everyone. That doesn’t mean that it wouldn’t work in an open relationship, Where SO’s communicate about who they’re seeing, what they’re doing, why they’re seeing them, etc. Or a polygamist relationship, where SO’s all live together and care about each other. Having a partner that has another partner may be uncomfortable for you but that doesn’t really mean that’s how it is in every relationship. It’s not cheating if they are all informed about each other and what they’re expecting from each other. It’s just different from the norms that we’ve been groomed into believing. I mean, if you were openly dating 3 guys and you told all of them that you weren’t currently being exclusive, the guys that understood that would stick around and the guys that didn’t wouldn’t, right? And of course you would communicate with them whoever you had a date set up with one and couldn’t see the others. Or if you decided to become exclusive you would clearly tell the other two that you were gonna just date the third guy. Loving more than one person happens. It’s not about whether or not you can or can’t love more than one person. It’s whether you can handle The dedication and love that needs to be poured into Being in a relationship with more than one person.

-When she was lucky enough to be sold as slave to a good man who let her do what she wanted in his pharmacy, the same idiot comes back and drags her away in a long walk on the country forcing her to drink the water of the horses and eat grass.
-All the other servants and maids hate her for no reason and bully her.

Wait no, he never forced her drink the horses water or eat grass. She did that of her own violation and misunderstanding. Of course she would be grateful to him because sooner or later she would’ve died by the hand of her abusive husband. Plus he spared her life. I don’t think he specifically asked for her but they offered her to go. She never liked the royal life and only up til her father needed her to marry off to that horrible man who betrayed the country was a simple commoner / slave. Also with the them not suspecting she’s a man I think she’s flat chested with small lumps so depending on the fit it can look like it’s just an oversized, puffy top.

She was forced to drink and eat that due to the circumstances she was forced into.

And she was not "offered". She was taken, she has no will or say into this, she is a slave. And the pharmacist good dude didn't want to let her go. But if bigger rank noble demands, he has to comply.

So no, she should not be grateful unless Stockholm syndrome is hitting hard.
