spending all this time talking about spells when theres almost no reason to, how they work and what they're called doesnt seem to be at all important to the plot, so why bother with it. youve got an entire page of people shouting spells and for what? they don't actually do anything so you waste an entire page. this could be a good story but it feels like the author is more interested in what they think is cool (the spells) and not what actually would make this interesting (getting to the fucking point)
its woooooorse how are you even more of a bitchhhhhhhh god i hope ariel gets a couple punches in on blondie. useless loser cant dont literally anything and then gets mad at her cause she doesn't "Trust" him. sorry trust you to do what exactly?? sit on your thumb for 12 years while her situation stays bad? id trust my cat to get more done for me in 12 years
im hoping this doesnt turn out with them permanently switching bodies and keigetsu's body (reirin) becoming empress. i feel like the author is steering in that direction, but im hoping it doesn't happen. reasons i think it might:
1) keigetsu feels fine in reirin's body and vice versa, but reirin feels like she's dying in her original body
2) reirin just plain likes keigetsu's body more
3) keigetsu will get away from the unfair hatred if she continues to be in reirin's body
4) the prince marrying reirin (kou) would upset the power balance in the royal court. but marrying keigetsu (shu) would not
5) prince doesn't seem to have a physical problem with keigetsu's body (see his reaction at her sogdian dance)
6) the other consorts want to use reirin's sickliness as the reason she cannot become empress, this stops being a problem if reirin is in keigetsu's body
7) keigetsu for sure has a thing for reirin, and i genuinely think she likes being in reirin's body more (both as a vessel, and as proof of their relationship)
8) leelee will get to be with reirin more easily if reirin is in keigetsu's body.
