The previous narration made it look like there was mutual understanding that a big mistake like that couldn't go on record as the lady of house's, therefore the butler asking her who was responsible in front of all the maids so she could choose a scapegoat. But the butler's pov in this chapter makes it look like the duchess went out of her way to put the blame on someone.

I don't like how the previous Chloe is portrayed, at all. Someone who's meek by nature, was either a target or outright ignored and had no real chance to improve herself because of her surroundings is not guilty. I don't condone her lying and having the cook be punished but other people around her blaming her for being weak are not any better. People who are unable to stand up for themselves end up harming themselves first and foremost, that's not something to be hated for. All the "wow the duchess used to be weak and stupid so we took advantage of that & didn't give a shit about her but now she smiles, let's respect and love her!" gets on my nerves.

I want someone to flirt with the uke soooo bad; like he starts hanging with him all the time and the seme sees him in the house with the uke but its revealed his straight, we see the seme gets fawned over 24/7. SWITCH IT UP.

The fact that it’s getting dropped is nothing to cry over. Let’s face it, this isn’t the most exciting reborn/duchess story. She’s not super cute or satisfyingly cunning. The Duke isn’t extremely handsome. In fact, I prefer the baron’s sharper looks.

We’ve seen ‘they’re not actually cold hearted, just inexperienced in love’ type dukes before (‘she’s the only one that makes him blush, aww’ uuugh, get over it. It’s cuter when you’ve tamed a player). We’ve seen cheating bastards before. We’ve seen greedy-asshole families before (WITH the cheating cousin). The duchess is actually the most bland out of all of them.

The ONLY thing that made this one unique is the fact that the man cheating on her was gay. And that’s actually just insulting.

This is so stupid. She left because the story will happen but in the story isnt he got rejected by the princess??? Then the best move would be stay with him. Arent you contradicted yourself, or she think that now the curse is lifted, he will have a chance??? God this is so dumb, im out (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

Seeing Kai and Edith makes me wonder if he really ends up being a tyrant or if that's how she made it seem as justification to take the throne. Think about it. By rights of succession, it seems like the crown would have gone to the Grand Duke, her uncle, not Princess Edith. In the story, the tyrant king isn't taken down until *after* Edith ends up with the male lead. Edith needs a husband to take the throne. Kai being there, for now, gives her time to get one.

The male lead shows no interest (so far) in the country's political or social spheres meaning that not only is he the perfect husband in terms of looks, virility, noble bloodline, skill, hero status, and general popularity, but he also would allow his wife to take control of matters he has no interest in. Marrying him would not just give Edith power as a Queen but (more importantly) as a King as well.

It may seem like simple bullying towards our MC, but I think she's just trying to keep power from the only other person who threatens it and doesn't have the status of an emperor. A princess in name is still a princess as princesses in that age get power from the families they were born into, the families that they marry into, and (rarely) their talents. Our MC is both talented and beautiful in addition to holding the title of princess because of her brother. This makes her a valuable match for powerful families as they would not have to negotiate with her maternal family for her hand and will make a close connection with the palace.

As horrible as this sounds, I'm staying cuz of the villains; not because I like them, but because they r the most unique thing in this story, the rest is sorta cliche.

Both of them r carrying the story's interest-factor imo (which is a pretty fragile thing to do; it wouldve been best to have a few interest-factors for a story). Without those two, it becomes a generic setting about an mc aiming to have some sort of alliance/relationship with a character, who has a strong influence, in order to survive; just like 5 or so other stories, but those other stories had a better portrayal that kept the reader engaged for a long period of time before it gets weak.

This story is like hanging by a thread instead of a proper solid rope. But hey, it's still pretty early in the story, so I guess I'm just overreacting, well- we'll see how it goes tho. It's still a pretty alright binge read now and then. Also the comments r interesting to read as well.

I lowkey wished that the relaxant wasnt actually poisonous. Remember when the FL's ex fiance said the relaxant was actually something he learned from FL when they were young? Maybe FL showed him how to make cigarettes since it seemed like a new invention in this era, considering how impressed the emperor was with the medicine.

Maybe FL said something along the line "but this is bad for your body, people could die from this" to the ex fiance, so they took it seriously? I dont think anyone other than Del have inhaled it anyway, since they believed it was dangerous.

So there's no possibility for them to know if it's actually poisonous or not, unless the idea of animal testing or human sacrifice is used. Or maybe the ex fiance simply said it to scare Delice from touching the FL.

That would be interesting, because it would show that FL contributes knowledge from her previous life to help Delice.

I love webtoons like I Decide The Emperor's Ending because the fact that the MC is from another world actually plays important role to the whole story rather than simply a cliche starter. Most reincarnation stories always forget the fact that the MC is from another world.

Yaas Ivona, cut that b of a cousin off.
I'm so tired of villain sob stories. Oh poor you, you were compared to some other child growing up or your father didn't inherit whatever so you grew up poor, boo fricking hoo. Lemme play you the world's saddest song on the world's smallest violin while you get your act together and stop blaming your choices on the past.

Also I don't know what that caped person is about but I'm already not having it.

The prince is a live example of a toxic person. Here are the signs:

1. See how the marchioness thinks he's kind, but Nora believes otherwise. Toxic people especially narcissists tend to charm people during first impressions. I mean, look at the continuous compliments flowing out of the prince's mouth naturally, right in front of everyone. It's like he put effort into them.

2. He's blaming Nora for getting distant indirectly and tried to make him look bad in front of everyone, especially his parents. MC then concludes that his personality is worse than Jeremy's. Narcissists tend to manipulate people's perception of others so subtly and easily. And they always make the ones who know their true nature look bad and crazy, always with success. Notice how Jeremy smoothly avoids him too after being called out as a childhood friend.

3. Seems like crown prince is targeting MC and has used words like, "It's alright to grieve when you are alone" to let her guard down. And he's getting way too close quickly for the ice to break. She was left crying in the end. These people like to manipulate emotions and make others cry.

Like bruh, seriously, you say it's the first time meeting her and yet you had the audacity to make her cry? Leave her alone and let her marry Nora.

So she can see he’s been up the whole time, probably cried a bit more and still looks like he’s going to cry and she’s still denying his feelings but now that he’s said it out loud, I wonder what will come of this BUT ALSO

Ibe’s character read novels before she reincarnated, surely she’s read her own fair share of isekai romance novels so does she not grapple with the fact that according to isekai law, she’s the main love interest for Ale??? Like really, Ibe. People don’t get isekai-ed to be the side character

After chapter one I was interested as its more mature swell but was scared that the FL would be a bitch, but after chapter 2 its nice to know that she's actually thinking about her actions and wants the best for the ML aswell. I love FL's like that, who can come off as mean or selfish but are also looking out for the others, but not throwing their own life away either, I prefer that a lot over FL's that only take care of the males and in turn don't care for their own issues. Already love it ヾ(☆▽☆) also the boy is a perv hellyea

Ooooh she has SNAPPED.

I must say I am a little disappointed with how they've made the blond man have a low IQ and EQ. Like, it's just not realistic and kinda takes you out of the story. He's a bad guy who has done bad things, you don't need to make him an idiot to make us not like him, we already know he's bad.

I think he'd be a more compelling villain if he was normal and not acting outrageous. We've got to remember there was a reason she fell in love with him. Yes his personality could have changed for the worst after he had secured an engagement from her, but I feel like his "evil" personality is just too much.

It's not just this story either, this trend of making the villain an idiot has been circling around transmigration/reincarnation stories.

I think a villain is scarier when they're smart.

Ty for the upload, but damn I'm so sad ╥﹏╥ Dayeol's father doesn't listen to his son properly either tries to talk with him and just brings him down.
Taehyun actually hitting himself... Idk what to think about it. Luckely he's focused on the vases, but that could have been easily a suicidal thought.

When I see mangas like this where the mc's life sucks or has a lot of problems I always wish the mc would improve in her life, get stronger& solve her problems herself instead of dying & reborning as someone else ...cause to me It just looks like in her last life which sucked , weakness & uselessness was part of her whole existence that she couldn't do anything about her problems herself no matter what she does & her only solution is reborning as someone else who is rich & beautiful & powerful , like if you don't have these 3 things you can't do anything & you're useless &so many other reasons which I don't feel like writing them here right now ..... anyway these kind of plots in general is pretty unreasonable & unrealistic to me , the art is good though

Rose is doing his psycho-maniac things, but in some way (really fucked up way) he's helping to make Doyung's and Hyunjin's love blooming.
Just like Doyung said, he didn't want to see Hyujin's bad sides. And that's a lot of people's mistake. They fall in love with their own fantasy, and when their partner's bad sides are showing to them, they don't know how to act. It's so easy to say "we all have our good and bad sites", yeah, but how many of us REALLY know what that means? You should love without omissions and expectations, but also love is not only about taking things as they are. It's also about changing, and Doyung wants to change Hyunjin. Not to make him absolutely different person. To help him to be stronger, and if you're strong, you're love will also be like that.
So yeah... ekhem. He has a nice body too.

I couldn't read past chapter 3. Maybe the story gets better after the third chapter but it's highly unlikely. I really didn't like the ML and the FL's personalities. They aren't bad characters but I don't think they're suited for being the MC's. The male lead could have been quieter and more reserved. Considering his back story it would have made more sense if he was more traumatized or haunted by it. He went from quiet and introverted too, to upbeat and talkative. I liked his personality more when he was a child. I would also think it would have been beneficial to the story. That would have more time for the audience to grow more attached to him and see him grow into a more open person. The authors gave him a sad backstory and through him right into the story. His personality changed so quickly in only 2 chapters. They rushed it so much that it felt like they didn't put much thought into the male leads character. Also, in chapter one or two, he fights that one dude and shows how OP he is. That was way too extra and could have been better.

I also have a problem with the female leads character as well. They have her the basic love interest personality and sailed the ship from there. They should have made her more interesting. Yeah, the town hates her for some reason but that's not enough to gain people's interest. that's all I really have on the girl, she's just not that interesting so I don't have a lot to say about her.

I would talk about the story but that's a whole nother post on its own lmao

( plus it's getting late and I'm pretty tired lmao ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭)

Sorry for ranting so much about this lol. I know people find this story fun or interesting but it's just not really my preference.

TL; DR
The story and the characters aren't that good lol.

The art isn't the most detailed, but it is good enough (and thank god for the good proportions! Nothing ruins a manga quite like unreasonably large hands or 2m long legs with elephant feet) and the story is all the more interesting, because it is told from the perspective of a middle aged man in the body of a girl (and yes, I'm aware how that sounds). It is a fresh spin on the mountain of isekai we have had lately. Don't get me wrong, isekai is my number 1 favorite genre, but it feels nice to see something new once in a while. I just wish, that the chapters where a bit longer, but even this vingette-style storytelling is entertaining enough.

I'm a little disappointed and confused at the same time. Why is the emperor so insistant on marrying her and I thought she didn't exist before becoming the pope but apparently she was born normally and then all of a sudden received blessing...
I find the emperor's attachement to her unreasonable and if there is a reason to it, doesn't that mean the person he is truly attached to isn't 100% her? Because she was reborn the second she became pope and her soul didn't exist in this world prior to that
2019-12-19 04:22 marked
How is she just accepting her position as pope........I mean wouldn't she at least research more about the world she now lives in?........like go find a history book or somethin cause Ludans explanation aint enough sweety...........
If I were her I would like a whole history lesson and the libraries whereabouts.....even tho I don't like studying........I'll be curious as hell as to what's up with these people treating me like a god.......
