I started really being into the manga scene when I was about 16 and got really into yaoi. Now that I'm in my 20s I look back and see that I brushed over a lot of things and all I can say is "Oh shit, how did I ever think that was OK?" I have read stuff that I really shouldn't have and now have kinks that I wish I really didn't. Reading this stuff really does change how you think. This "it's just fiction" mindset is dangerous, because people just don't realize how much this stuff can unconsciously oneself even if you consciously know it's wrong.
