Like I don't like him. And definitely don't want him to end up with our queen... but I really am just a softy who feels sorry pretty easily so seeing him try his best and fail does hurt... I really do feel sorry for him but he did have it coming.

LET'S NOT OVER COMPLICATE THE PLOT PLEASE I FEEL LIKE THIS WILL BE A RECIPE FOR DISASTER AND I'M NOT SURE I'M READY FOR IT (/TДT)/

naacha December 25, 2020 6:35 pm

Mil please for once grow some balls and actually do something. You and your family haven't even apologized for everything you did to Linden and now you want to kill him? Like damn... I don't want to hate you but you really are making it hard for me not to. Man up please and apologize to him not this half-assed way of doing shit. Don't be a dog and be pushed by everyone to do things and actually do what you think is right.

This manhwa has depicted diff types of toxicity in a relationship. Joowon and Haesoo had this messed up relationship where they couldn't let go of each other but also couldn't be together. They were also very selfish in their own way only giving in a little bit but mostly protecting their hearts from the mess that was their feelings for each other. We see certain moments where they really brought out the ugly in themselves and that was something the author didn't shy away from. Taku was also toxic in his own right. He went into this because he was curious and wanted to mess with Joowon a little bit so he decided to get close to Haesoo, got curious of the messed up shit that was happening between the two and dived right in, and ultimately fell in love but went about it in his own toxic way- manipulation and being forceful of his emotions.

If you think about it objectively, the manhwa is pretty fascinating because it shows you how love can bring out the ugliest sides to people but also how nothing great can actually come out of it- ex. the mess that was Joowon and Haesoo, and also why Taku can never make Haesoo fall for him. The characters have so much bad in them there is so much room for growth.

I find it disappointing how some readers are so obsessed with their ships that they have gone into this war of this person is toxic while the other is an angel, or this person is toxic and this one isn't, needing to paint someone as evil in order to alleviate the other character. When this could be such a great discussion for what is right and wrong, what can and cannot be done, what is healthy and what is toxic that can be applied to real life situations. Every character in the manhwa needs growth and development because they are messed up.

Honestly I don't care who others ship because that's their right as readers, however the "joowon is toxic, Haesoo is a cheater and a slut, and Taku is the only good one he is the angel" narrative is getting exhausting and frankly dumb. It's disappointing to me that some readers only got that after reading this. How some of you summed up each character into these few words and attached to them definitions that you want that don't do the characters justice. You can feel sorry for a character but you don't need to drag them down. You can love a character without putting them in a pedestal and absolving them of their questionable and toxic traits. I personally like Joowon, does that mean I am blind to his faults? Nope. I actually didn't want him to end up with Haesoo if he didn't straighten his shit out. He was flawed and thank fuck he finally acknowledged it and did something about it. That's the thing though, you can like a character but still acknowledge if they are being an asshole or not.

Also, people might think it's dumb how some of us are fucking tired and ranting about this bs esp since this is just a manhwa but if you actually are in social media and actually follow this manhwa you will know that the author has been hareassed by so many stans that are pissed they didn't get the ending that they want. This to me is too much. You can be disappointed of the outcome but at least be mature enough to respect the author bec frankly yall don't have any right to demand shit from her.

Exactly. Unfortunately most people focused on ship wars and didn't care about the actual story in the slightest.

naacha December 22, 2020 2:51 pm

Taku stans: joowon is toxic. Haesoo is a slut. Taku is an angel.

Taku: is selfish, manipulative, guilt trips Haesoo to be with him, and forces his feelings unto others without consideration for what the other party feels.

Taku stans: he is an angel he can do no wrong he deserves the world what a Saint.

and then goes to Twitter, tags the author, and throws hate on her for not giving them what they want. yall are a diff breed let me tell you that.

I feel sorry for Taku but I honestly would be disappointed if he ended up with Haesoo using the tactics that he did What, he got the guy because he was pushy about his feelings? Because he was selfish about his love and wanting it to be reciprocated? For doing underhanded things to manipulate and guilt trip Haesoo to be with him? Yall keep preaching about how shitty it is for Joowon and Haesoo to end up together bec it promotes toxic relationship but from where I'm standing Joowon at least matured in the last few chapters and has now admitted and is trying to change. What has Taku done? In the upcoming chapter he shows how much of a selfish asshole he is and honestly, I just want him to get smacked with reality and for him to understand that his selfish ways is not the right way to love someone. If he actually loved Haesoo like he claimed, he wouldn't be so selfish as to think only about himself in the relationship. So yes, Taku needs a character development, contrary to what his stans would like yiu to believe. The way he emotionally abuses Haesoo is downright disturbing to me and that needs to stop.

I agree but honestly all 3 need major character development. The last thing they need to think about is a relationship

yep i agree but I am actually curious about how joowon and haesoo would go about it they do end up together. I for one need them to actually talk things out bec they have so much baggage they need to unpack and then there's their careers on the line. The public knows them as ex step siblings and it would have a backlash on Joowon's acting career and Haesoo dream of being a novelist if that happens. However, would they even want to hide their relationship when keeping their feelings hidden was one of the major reasons why they were in this mess in the first place?

I do think joowon and haesoo needs more character growth before they can actually be together and stay together. However I am curious how the author will go about things. The story is getting fascinating. I just hope we don't end the story with "oh the are together now the end" bec that would just be disappointing.

I mean I don't care who they ship or who they stan but I am tired of the dumb comments that are painting one person as evil and the other as an angel bec the author and the manhwa deserves better than that yknow? we got such complex characters and they really just summed each one up in such a dumb way.

I was getting tired of the comment section being too one-sided and bias... we needed some reality check

    Angie December 22, 2020 4:26 pm

It's so sad that people read this story so superficially and cared only about smut and ships. And you just can tell while reading comments they don't know what they are talking about and don't understand the story in the slightest.
    Thanks for your comment.

I wish Haesoo can actually read Joowon's letter for him because damn that was beautiful ╥﹏╥ Joowon's always been really shitty at expressing his feelings into words and is the reason why he fucks up most of the time but it is so adorable to see him fumble and do his best to put his feelings into paper like damn we love to see growth

naacha December 16, 2020 1:51 pm

Don't you just love the fact that Joowon's first question was why Haesoo was crying. The thing is, if you love a person your first thought is always whether they are okay, why they are crying because as cringey and sappy as it is, love is selfless.

And Joowon might have had his moments of being an asshole who is shit at communicating but I prefer the way he loved Haesoo especially near the end, how selfless his love was. How he was just happy to let him go and be with someone else, cute himself off his life, if it would make him happy. I like how Joowon gave Haesoo a CHOICE, to choose what was best for him what would make him happy.

Joowon could have easily guilt tripped Haesoo to be with him. Especially with how Joowon's acting career was in the rocks bec of something he did to protect Haesoo in the past. But what sets Joowon apart and, for me, a better male lead is that he didn't use that against Haesoo to manipulate him into being with him. And that is why no matter how much some readers trash Joowon's character and paint him out as some bad guy or how he is toxic and all things bad, I can't for the life of me see him that way.

Anyone who can read without bias and rose tinted glasses can see that Joowon is not what people try to depict him as. And from all of the flawed characters in this book, which in my opinion all of them are, Joowon has shown the best character development of them all.

Kudos to him for his self growth and kudos to him for finally saying he loves Haesoo and another kudos to him for finally getting the person he loves.

its just the 93rd chapter and the comment section already reeks of some toxic readers... imagine what the comment section will be like when ch 94 drops Im gonna have fun seeing what kind of dumbassery some of yall are gonna write

Rereading this because damn it I really love this story. The thing with soulmate stories is that while it is a cute concept the realistic and logical part of me hates the thought of someone being destined to be mine. Like where's the fun in that? I don't like the thought of who i end up falling for being someone elses idea. That's why i like stories like this where they have to fight destiny to be together. There's just something so beautiful ate a couple saying fuck you to fate and falling in love of their own accord. It hurt so much reading this bec I get where Kaoru is coming from. He is such a selfless baby who just wants to do everything for the man he loves but what's great about this is that Hara loves him the same way. I love how Hara never wavered even after he figured out that his red string was attached. I definitely loved seeing how even though fate tried to play cupid for him and that girl, he never, not even once thought of her in a romantic way. And the ring (/TДT)/ the fucking ring got me bawling my eyes out. Like damn it all I knew he loves Kaoru so much but fuuucckkk the rings really just blew any doubts you could have for the guy Kaoru legit oens his heart
