One thing I dislike about the 2nd season is how the author empathizes so much on Sohan’s dad, it could’ve been settled in less chapters, it’s just painful and annoying seeing him.
I’ll get hate for this but 1st season was way better
Exactly! It's meant to feel like a cycle that he has to go through until he finally gets that his dad really isn't worth all the stress he's going through, I've obviously never been through this but it feels more realistic than if he suddenly broke out of it after years of trauma. It also just seems like that's his personality, since he also never wanted to bother his mom who abandoned him with his awful father
I like dark stuff but I feel like this was just boring. I just wanted it to end because of how boring it was. None of the characters are interesting
The mom’s reaction was extremely underwhelming, also what was the reason of introducing Reiichi’s brother like legit nothing important changed, the story could have continued without him.
Does this have a happy ending meaning both mc and ml end up together?
The ML was the murderer of MC's father's village I believe, amongst other things and MC doesn't find out until later and at that point he wants nothing to do with ML. He's kidnapped and raped over the course of several days(I think, unsure of the timeframe) by MLs cousin, the current emperor.
ML then awakens into Asura, dethrones his cousin and becomes emperor. He cut both of MCs Achilles heels to keep him from running away and gave an ultimatum to either die by his hand or live for him. MC chooses to live but he is mentally broken now.
A bit of a timeskip later and we see that MC needs to be kept chained to keep him from self-harming. ML is out at war and writes a letter to MC scolding him for self-harming and that he's kinda sorry for all that happened but he doesn't regret it because MC is still his in the end. The story ends the letter saying he wants to bring MC somewhere for a picnic and that he loves him.
It's terrible.
Oh god, yikes. I read the last chapter and was confused but now it makes sense. Every time I've started a work of this author the comments stop me from reading it any further than a few chapters cause they are always messed up in some sorta way. Thank you so much for this detailed explanation! I really appreciate you taking the time to write it all out. ( ◜‿◝ )♡
Just finished this and wow.. when Rose said she was preparing a banquet I knew where it was going. (I think this scene is cut here but I just wanted to leave my thoughts)
I believed in Rose as well ngl I thought that maybe she found her true love with Lily, but she only wants multiple girls as toys. Lily is a dumbass, I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt that she was naive enough to believe Rose I mean she was her very first carnal relationship and she mistook is as love, soon as she saw her being unfaithful she should’ve gone back home.
