Tbh I don’t really understand what these annoying girls who think they’re fit to be empress would do if they actually became one. If anything they’d waste away the countries money and wouldn’t actually be able to do any of the work, like I’m no genius in this kind of stuff but there’s no way they’d be able to properly lead a country much less gain the respect of their people. Though in Lady Carmandy or whatever her names case she’d just throw a fit if someone told her she had to do work lol ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I love the story, but...are they just leaving her father there by himself with that rude lady?? I feel so bad for him ╥﹏╥
I felt bad too... for like 8 seconds.
He sacrificed her for some rice! Regreting about it after her supposed death is something that should happen. At least the author made his character have a conscious after what he did.
Wait...he sacrificed her for rice??? I thought she went there on her own because she thought it’d give him back his eyesight or something Σ( ̄□ ̄||)
Yeah so he could use the rice to pay for his eye treatment but the eye treatment was a scam.
But didn’t the woman who’s taking care of him now mention that the bags of rice are rotting as in he didn’t use them? Also there’s the implication that the guy who comes running to him about the bad news is actually coming to tell him that his daughter became a sacrifice for him without his knowledge?
So in reality he didn’t know she was going to sacrifice herself for rice nor did he want her too or expect her to so when he’s drawing pictures of her mourning her wishing her to come back he’s doing it because he feels horrible for driving her to do so for him even if he didn’t explicitly tell her to do it.
Also she mentions filial piety to the fake hero guy when he said he wanted to die, bc she was ready to die for her father so he could do the things he wanted. Everything happened bc she wanted to honor him by dying so he could essentially gain insight for the future (I think he doesn’t want necessarily eyesight but have the priest explain or give him knowledge so he could live a wiser/ prosperous future)
He so far doesn’t seem like a bad person just an idiot who cherished his daughter (who also cherished him enough to be willing to die for him) and wishes she’ll come back.
I am not sure but ...............based off of some pictures I saw on blog naver a loooong time ago it seems the mc and her father will reunite at some point.ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
This story seems to be based off an old Korean pansori tale! If it follows the path, she will definitely meet her father again and cure his blindeness!
