IKR!! It’s so frustrating.
I honestly had high expectations for this story at the begging. Everything seemed well put together, the porn scenes were engaging and the characters although not like-able right away felt as though one could grow to like them. As the chapters went by, things felt very fast paced and extremely morally incorrect. There was countless r@pę scenes disguised as “I know you wanted this from the beginning.” Previously, I felt that Byun Minho was actually a bad person deserving of this punishment, but thanks to the translator, I realized that Minho was always made to be the villain with no real purpose other than to demonize him simply because he’s the “evil ex boyfriend.” I have also made a comment before saying something along the lines of “i sort of think Minho deserves whats coming for him” and I want to apologize to anyone who might have read my comment and possibly felt invalid of their experience/s similar to Minho’s and I want to clarify that I was not referring to the r@pę but instead the way Duna left him because he was always invalidating her. Like I previously said, I felt that one could grow to like the characters but it seems impossible when there is no character development to any of them; instead, I feel that I grew hate for them rather than any attachment or affection. Specifically Duna, I wanted to see some growth in her character yet she was detestable from beginning to end. Despite always being demonized the only character I felt any empathy towards was Minho, if this maga’s main character was Minho, this story would be more of a tragedy rather than “bdsm” porn. Something else I wanted to point out is the lack of knowledge that the author has about what bdsm really is. If people with no experience in bdsm (such as me), encounter this as their first “real” interaction with such, it could create a very wrong idealism harmful to others; please do a lot of research before attempting anything shown in this story. Finally I was hoping that by the end, everyone got what they truly deserved; but instead we were left with a half assed ending like this with no real closure. I followed this story from chapter 1 and I can tell you this was 100% a waste of my time. Extremely disappointed.
