Ch 5 gave me similar psychological vibes as Asumiko Nakamura (though clearly not even close to her level). Also super reminded me of Ibitsu Na Kakera by Ogawa Chise and Deichuu no Hasu by Tamekou. If you enjoyed ch 5, I recommend reading these! They're both way better psychological incest BL.
Overall though, I was disappointed with ch 5. I think it had potential but with so few pages it fell flat. Would have liked to see it as a full volume so the characters, their motivations, and backstories could be explored further. It was also quite jarring sandwiched inside the main story which had a completely different emotional tone. Though I wonder if this was an intentional marketing decision.
I liked chapter 5. I wouldn't call it inferior to the works you mentioned either. I'd read my fair share of crazy psychological incest manga and this has one of the most interesting concepts out of them all. It might not have jarring scenes where one brother burns his face for the other, but I think that's better for this story. It feels more rooted in reality than Ogawa's work.
This will be an unpopular opinion, but I didn't really like it. There were way too many signs pointing to Taekyung being abusive in the first half that left a horrible taste in my mouth. It got better when Siyeon grew a pair, but I still couldn't love it. The writing wasn't the best either - the plot had tons of holes and didn't feel as smooth as it could have.
Mainly the reason why I'm conflicted. I like the story overall, but the red flags in my head were waving whenever Tae does some stupid shit. And yea he kinda got whipped to Siyeon in the end, but idk :/ the ending felt rushed too? I understand that that asshole ex died but it kinda felt like we anticipated for nothing. And Lim omg. Where is he sksksksksk
I almost dropped this in the beginning and I should have. :/ Normally in a manhua this long, especially one created by an amateur, you'll see a lot of growth in both the storytelling and art as the story progresses. I kept reading because I expected this to happen, and they did grow a bit, but not 200 chapters worth of growth. By the end, the art still felt awkward in places and the storytelling and plot were still all over the place. Maybe because I re-read 19 Days right before this so my expectations were high, but overall I'm disappointed with this manhua. I do hope the creators try to learn more and increase their skills to create something more engaging and higher quality because the potential is certainly there.
I kinda want to try eating a chikuwa now lol ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
It does not taste good, believe me ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Ahahaha really? That makes me sad lol.
I guess each to their own? I honestly like it (=・ω・=)
I tried the one that was in oden. Maybe that's why I felt is was not that good( ̄∇ ̄")
