I was feeling a little cute the other day and went through the bdsm tag for something to read and all I wanna say is people gotta stop mislabeling rape with bdsm because I hope yall bitches are aware bdsm has CONSENT. About 90% of the bdsm stories I went through were rape with torture. That is NOT bdsm. Just because the rapist thought I'd be nice to tie up the victim and slap the shit out his face does not equal bdsm. Don't be mistaken! Please, we need some literacy!

Omg that's so true!! It's the exact reason I don't read bdsm. Everyone I try to read a story labelled as bdsm whether straight or bl it's almost always non con shit!! I don't get it..Do people actually enjoy someone getting absued against their consent?!
The same thing with consent feels a thousand times better that the one without one!!
And a lot of people think that if the uke does things to the same without consent then it's ok...They also need to understand that uke or seme non con is a no no ( ̄へ ̄)

So real its usually dubious or rape. BDSM is not rape. It’s people consensually doing stuff and knowing the other person also cares abt their safety/comfort.
Sadistic Beauty (lesbian couple) was really cute tho! They consensually did BDSM plays/roleplay and it was great they had a good time while respecting each other’s boundaries There was also a yaoi one I saw that delved into BDSM aspects but i forgot the name XD still, the dom was rlly sweet and only did what sub was comfortable with

In the doghouse is also a good one, here’s a list https://www.mangago.zone/home/mangalist/757218/

https://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/kabukichou_bad_trip/
Here’s the yaoi I was talking abt. Check it out if you’ve got the time :)

i find that if a story is gonna add unnecessary rape, i prefer they add it in the beginning, so i can override those shitty feelings with the rest of the story, instead of enjoying the story to near the end and getting bitch slapped with the rape on my way out to sour my mood.
im looking at you bongchon bride, never understand. smh

OMG
This one
https://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/piercing_stab/
Started off fluffy, but then it took a 180 turn into a depressing story

I love Bongchon Bride and will always recommend it but absolutely hated that chapter. 80+ chapters deep and author gotta hit us with that?
But honestly I think the point of it was that abusers may start off just overstepping small boundaries and you think you can handle them until it just escalates to the point that you end up truly hurt.
That's what I took away from it at least.
Not arguing with your point or opinion or anything. Just my thoughts on it.
But yeah, I also wish it that if it happens at all, it happens in the beginning so we can move on and follow the characters healing/revenge arc.

Any sex positive stories? Either both or one is a sex worker is fine, but I'm curious if there exists a story where they do sex work but it's purely professional. They get in a relationship and continue to do sex work.
I watch japanese porn and sometimes when they show the behind the scenes, you realize these are just regular people coming to work, doing their business, then leaving. Once the shoot is done, they're just coworkers chatting about how the shoot went, if anyone is okay, need help cleaning etc. It's such a humanizing aspect of sex work.
I've read multiple stories where one or both do sex work, and when they fall in love, they usually quit their jobs, and view the sex work as cheating or something, and there's jealously there, but I wonder if there's a story where they understand it is just work and there's no other meaning? And their coworkers are also friendly and keep it professional, no trying to sabotage the relationship etc?
The reason why this topic came up is because I notice the only reason I hate reading porno actor BL's is because they (the characters) view the sex work as cheating/unfaithful, and get jealous and feel sad, so I sympathize and feel with them, and hate how the partner is doing sex work. But at the end of the day, sex work is still work. And it would be interesting to see other aspects of a relationship revolving around positive sex working.
I recently read one that kinda fits the description. But the plot is kind of subpar. Top and bottom work for a sex show club and they do sex acts on stage to entertain the audience. Both the top and bottom have sex with their other coworkers. And even after they establish a relationship, they still work at the club and have a good relationship with the other coworkers. https://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/love_sex_show/
Wish there was similar but with a more solid plot.

anything with cute jealousy? not too serious, just puppy jealousy. a lot of sulking, needing attention. but not toxic.

this has a lot of it hehe https://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/haru_to_natsu_to_nacchan_to_aki_to_fuyu_to_boku/

when stories end, I always see people go "noo, I don't want it to end!" Or "I can keep reading this forever! Donf end!"
How do yalls deal with endings? I personally appreciate when an author knows when to end their story. Even if I'm like titties hard in love with the story, I don't have attachment and can come to terms with it ending, so I can move along to the next story. This topic came up cuz I realized Punch Drunk Love is probably gonna end soon and I cannot wait (▰˘◡˘▰)

Same, because when stories are kept dragging on, they feel boring and I quickly lose interest. The plot also gets lost somewhere. If the author wants to make a long story, the plot shouldn't feel like, "Oh, it's just keep going. Huh, when and how did this happen?" I personally feel like, people say stuff like that to express how much they loved the story and not actually want it to continue or something

I don’t normally have that much of an attachment to stories but if it’s something that’s been going for many many years of my life I feel a little empty when it ends. Like damn those characters grew up w me n shit. For me bnha and Arthur (the children’s tv show yes) ending lowkey destroyed me life just ain’t hitting the same w out no new Arthur eps coming out ngl.

I feel like those kinds of stories are outliers. They're kind of plotless and are just feel good short comic strips. Them not having an end in sight makes perfect sense. But the stories that have a plot with objectives and goals, ya know, those if they dont end after achieving the goal, and just keep adding more subplots, those are the ones that I think are pushing it. Like your example Lookism. Wasnt Daniel a bully victim turned hot and strong so he can fight against bullies and the system? I dropped it a long time ago but I've been seeing comments saying they dont even know where the story is going anymore. If your readers dunno where they're going with your story and your story was supposed to have an objective, then you've overstayed your welcome ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

When a story ended so god, and the way it wraps up, from the journey to then end, literally felt like a perfect bow, i reread it again and laments again. The second time is with this melancholic feeling know its goona end, but it also makes u feel good knowing it ends greatly. Esp when reading pirated here when some stories either gets horrible trans, or the chapters are missing, or it doesnt conclude cos they stop uploading. Im grateful, reread, laments that it ended. In a way it feels like i isekaid regressed in my own way

sameeee I have a bunch of on-going stories I'm interested and am waiting for them to complete too. I rarely read on-going stories unless I really like the plot, because then I just forget they exist during a long update break. I guess that may also explain why I dont have the "I never want this to end" thought? Its cuz I'm already used to starting a story that already ended so theres less expectation to keep seeing more updates.

For me it depends on what the story has given me. If a story has dragged out then when the end comes I'm mostly relieved lol but if they played on cool ideas and had more to give like implying a future cool fight or implying a wedding then I'm kinda sad but I move on quickly. For whatever reason the story ended there and I respect that

Who's an author you think never misses? Like most, if not, all their stories are a hit? (For you)
Mine is Moscaret, author of Punch Drunk Love. I've read like 70% ish 80% percent of their stories and have liked them all. Haven't had time for the other stories yet. But imo based on what I've read, they know how to tell a story.

(Ik you look down on side stories BUT) IT'S OUR LORD AND SAVIOR CHEPALI ヽ(`Д´)ノ

I've been putting off reading Punch Drunk Love forever. If it doesn't have playboy seme x innocent uke nonsense I will read it.
For me most of my fave stories are stand alone or author has other works I dislike but I think for repeat hits I like it would be these two:
- Ker, author of 'Sign' and 'One Summer Day'
- 숲이랑, author of 'Red String Quests' and 'Off-Track Crush'

Punch Drunk Love does have a bit of playboy aspect in the beginning but it dwindles down into nonexistence pretty quickly. And the uke is far from innocent. He is quite the opposite. Minor spoilers but he's the one spooking the seme with his kinks lmao. It's a good laugh, you should read it.
And yes, I love Sign. I've put OSM on hold for now but I liked the concept.
I haven't tried 숲이랑 and their works yet, but will put them in my lists for the future, thank you!

I cheated on my second exam and scored a 94%. My first exam I didn't cheat and got a 82%. Would the professor be suspicious by the sudden improvement? do I need to score less on my 3rd exam so it takes off the suspicion?
I wish there were better ways to show you understand the subject aside from literal memorization. I have bad memory okay, I'm at a disadvantage already. Wish I had photographic memory or smth (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

I mean tbh, if it's online exam that professors probably already know some students might cheat.. i used to work as an assistent professor and every time there's an online exam, she ask me to mark down the points for every student that got the answers right but have a similar answer to other student.. ykwim? ( ̄∇ ̄")
If your exam came out with a good score then that means you did a good job cheating lmao, that professors prolly didn't care anyway~ i'm sure it's fine (≧∀≦)

If it's true/false then i'm 100% sure that professor couldn't care less about cheating lmao, that just mean they're way too busy to care about that exam.. they just want an easy way to give the students a score since they can just ask someone else to grade it ( ̄∇ ̄")
At least that's what my professor did everytime she's too busy to check on the results, yk, since i can't really give a grade for essay

I just tried a new adventurer, action, fantasy anime today.
Basic looking mc. Typical. But when episode 2 came around and I saw those gigantic tits on an innocent looking twig magic girl/goddess, I knew this ain't it.
idc what the story is about or how good it is, I'm not watching big titty skinny twigs over here prance around some basic looking ass mc whom she barely knows. After checking the cover art more carefully, its full of girls and the mc, it's also a harem to boot.
This is why I don't even bother trying these kinds of stories anymore. They always disappoint.

No shade to the recent comment on here. Their comment just made me realize I've seen a couple questions asked in a similar way. They usually put "black and white" in the description too when asking for manga recs. And that just makes me wonder.... did someone post a rec for manga and got a bunch/majority of manhwa/manhua instead? Lol is the manga so ancient that people wouldn't automatically know manga is traditionally b/w and have to be told it? Just a funny observation.
Manga = japanese, traditionally in black and white, because they were traditionally hand drawn and distributed in physical copies.
Manhwa = korean, idk much but seems majority are in color, and available online?
Manhua= chinese, same deal as manhwa?
(Feel free to correct. I'm no expert.)

i mean yea but nowadays im starting to see colored manga on this site bc like obviously manga was done by hand back in the day but now its more digitalized so it gets colored in but then with like printed manga and stuff it's still black and white bc of ink production (?) i think im not too sure abt that one but manga has been more colored bc of the digitalization

I see your point there. I've also seen webtoon stylization of manga (which I hate) but digitalizing has allowed more freedom with colors. I think back in the day there were "colored pages" for manga too, although I'm unsure if those were official or fan made. Regardless though, manga is still japanese even if it is colored. I think when people ask for manga, even without mentioning the b/w, you'd automatically assumed it is a japanese production the person is asking recs for, so when someone gives recs with manhwa/manhua, it makes me wonder if there's a huge lack of differentiation there?? ( ̄∇ ̄")

not you speaking for all three different countries bro like take manhua for example, manhua just means comic in Chinese, so even manhua is a more generalized term. So Chinese people are more likely to refer to anything resembling a comic, a manhua. but there is literally a term in chinese dedicated for manga, since it’s not the same thing to manhua. So why would you group all three works from different countries into one? They all have their own history and style…

no ╥o╥ I mean some people think manga is manga, manhua and manhwa so like if they looking for sayyyy "rainbow city" they be like "hey guys whats that one manga with the cute lil researcher that likes rocks" not knowing the difference. or they be asking for manhua/manhwa recs and be like "yall rec me some manga with blah".

okay sorry i admit dont know much on the japanese and chinese side, i do know that koreans actually refer to anything comic a manhwa so i assumed the other two countries are the same. in kr, the word 망가 (manga) is used too but 일본만화 (japanese manhwa) or just 만화 (manhwa) is more common. not rly sure on the jp side but i saw some called manhwa "kankoku manga" instead of manhwa.

(I just realized I replied to the wrong reply oops) Idk about names but I know sometimes when I recommend and people say "can I get manga recs about blah blah blah" I go on their pf and you can sometimes tell if they mean just manga or all three of them. And if its all three, i recommend manhwa and manhua. but names you can def tell the difference

Japanese manhua is indeed 日本漫画, it’s the direct translation. But I usually use 漫改 (majority do just use 日本漫画tho) since 漫画 isn’t specific to anything unlike mangas. To me it makes more sense to call everything 漫画 than manga tbh since it is such a general term! Like mangas meant for black & white, hand drawn works. 漫画 just means anything relating to comics, it’s lowkey hard to explain lol

Ok lowkey didnt see this reply but at least you acknowledge that you didn’t know about Japanese and Chinese. It genuinely threw me off when you’re like only foreigners care about differing them because it’s so disrespectful… like they’re all unique with their own history to just group them all together just completely disregards that.
What's your best feel good story? A plus if it has sprinkles of smut.
I wanna read something that makes me feel light headed and sleep like a baby.

Literally like a freshly baked cupcake right out of the oven with extra sprinkles, I cannot recommend it enough, the actual physical book is great too, shame the author has long since abandoned the prequel to it though.
Rainbow city :3 (SA in chap 3, best to skip)
