The ML was actually incredibly useless throughout quite a good majority of this story. I can't explain it, but I feel like his character doesn't feel important.

I think there have been at least three stories from this author that has a scene where the seme is doing the nasty with some random person while actively being pursued by the uke
The decision was between
1. A shady guy who flirts with women while married, looked like he cheated on her (that explanation given really seems like it glossed over that he could've possibly cheated rather than someone was forcing themself on him), is into a shady business, and basically a walking red flag
Vs
2. A childhood friend who loves her but said that he felt bad for her birthmark (which I'm gonna interpret it as he felt bad cus he knew her arranged marriages might not work out because of it and she'll feel pain)
And she chose the red flag because he's fun to be around sometimes???
Not so surprising tbh cuz most of these are like that
" I choose the redflag guy cuz he make me happy, he make me feel special
Chapter 72 was so unnecessarily dragged out with the purifying. Cause like, she's knows he under a spell and it was confirmed already that stabbing him would do the trick but she still decided to waste everyone's time and yell at him while sobbing? Like, there's dramatic effect for the climax, and then there's just trying to add more things to make the chapter longer.
