im pretty sure the wolfs gnna end up with the rabbit since in a previous chapter it showed string that both were tied around their pinkys. the string originates from a chinese myth that the two people connected by the red thread are destined lovers, regardless of place, time, or circumstances. but then again im not sure since the author also hints that the snake could be a potential love interest.
i rlly like the fact that suu isn’t your average protagonist. he has multiple layers and does what needs to get done in order to survive. he's cunning, manipulative, and his actions are based on the best way to avoid unnecessary problems. like the way he handled the situation with the concubine and sahara. he’s also surprisingly stubborn and acted irrational when the fortune teller lady gave him the love advice.
i really loved this webtoon but as i was reading i couldn’t help but feel unsatisfied with how it dealt with the real siwon’s death. he was r*ped and bullied tremendously not only from the people at school but his own brother. and the fact that he killed himself bc no one was there that he could rely on rlly fcking sucks. joohoon (the blonde crazy fcker) even played a major role in his death, yet he didn’t receive a punishment which makes me angrier the more i think about it. even the confrontation with his younger brother felt unsatisfactory. i just wish the story expanded more on the real siwon’s redemption.
yea I understand how you feel XD there are still some holes that could be filled/addressed. It's interesting b/c Siwon had friends so you'd think they cared? and it seemed like the whole bullying thing was a fairly recent thing? (minus the 3 months in a coma). But I'm not sure the exact time line, its a bit confusing.
I think the fact that the police didn't do a follow up, the insurance (trucker's) didn't do a follow up, nor even his parents to a follow up on him getting hit, should be what is sad. The kid fell through the cracks.
However, it seems he was at peace with his decision when he passed. It is described by his smile and that he closed his eyes, he looked content with his decision. I actually have to wonder, if he was the one who chose to do the body switch, and that the smile was because he knew that two someones who had had equally terrible lives were going to have someone to hold onto, and keep the afloat/sane.
yes i agree the police and his parents both should’ve done a proper investigation to find out what really happened to him. but i felt really uncomfortable with how it showed his death. sure he was smiling before he died, but to me it seemed really like lonely and melancholy one. i don’t think the real siwon would’ve noticed the body switch especially during those circumstances. the scene overall reminded of how pitifully lonely he was. i just wished the author would’ve given his situation more thought, don't get me wrong i liked how the second siwon and woojin reunited. but i felt that the author made a character suffer so much only for the sake of the plot and disregard him in the end without a proper redemption.
I have also wondered if it isn't a round about way of the author making the statement that no one is going to fight for yourself, except for you. Suicide is a (horrible, tragic) way out, but you may not get any justice. There will not be any glory. Life will go on for everyone else (whether they want it to or not).
I was also going to add, now that I reread it, the video footage they have, if I'm not mistaken, the Johoon (sp?) guy and the others who did all that stuff to Siwon are on there. They could just take the footage to the police and get them all arrested. Unless we think they were recorded (since we saw them) but their faces werent? still pretty good evidence...
but it’s an accurate depiction of korean society tho. like it’s so conservative that it would be very difficult for a man to talk abt being rped and it’s even worse that he was rped by other men. bullying isn’t really taken all that seriously, and suicide unfortunately is a common occurrence among teens. :/ I’m not saying it’s super unrealistic for him to report such an incident, but it makes sense (ofc it isn’t right tho korean society should be better)
Yea I suppose realistically that is true, there and in other places as well. But I suppose since it wasn't Taemin who got hurt (but rather the guy before) that it would be too much effort to go after the bad guys as well. Its just too bad that kid just kind of got left behind, but I suppose it makes sense because how would you explain Taemin is in Siwons body lol.
it broke my heart to see him so malnourished and lonely TT i’m glad that the mc is there now, hopefully she’ll get promoted to his personal maid.
