If you look at all of the signs in the beginning, you can tell he will not be with Mr. Yoon in the end. So many people shipped them anyways, though; for some unbeknownst reason.(〜￣△￣)〜
It was because the relationship was, in my very humble opinion, way better than when he was with Yul. If they had the time and space to grow as a couple without any obstacles, there is no doubt in my mind that their relationship would be 100x better than the pair we ended up with. Welp even if you know it's impossible you hold on to a sliver of hope that maybe, just maybe, your ship will sail.
