Seri, the part of official Webtoon team, has announced the end of Season 1 with the release of ch. 153 and an indefinite break. It’s really sad (<- I was thinking of jumping out the window), yes, but let’s still wish them the best and a good rest. For they’ve deserved it so much ^^
Waiting for Season 2!!

The S-Classes Webtoon team is taking a break this week, no new chapter ‘till next Monday 4/15) Let’s wish them to rest well!
Did you know that Naver actually used to give its authors a break only ONCE a YEAR? They recently changed the rules, and now it’s possible to rest every 25 weeks/6 months… The bare minimum, istg. Naver should make it at least every 3 months. Most Korean authors are dying.
That's why I encourage other fans to support the titles legally - whether by paid cookies on Naver or free hearts on Webtoon, you're gonna help the authors tremendously!:3

Yeah, NAVER actually sucks. Just like Kakao. If anyone doesn’t know already, the author for the other manhwa called “The Way to Protect the Female Lead’s Older Brother” she is an amazing artist who worked hard to contribute to drawing out the chapters, but she was also pregnant at the time, so it took a toll on her health. This caused her miscarriage because they forced tight deadlines on her and wouldn’t let her take a break. And even after that incident they pushed her even while she was in the hospital trying to recover and recuperate.
A lot of the Korean companies that have manhwa artists contracted with them make tight deadlines which ultimately lead to artist to suffer injuries, and though not many have blatantly said it was due to overworking, many of the Korean artists for manhwas I have seen rarely take break. And when they do, it’s only when they were injured, or had a end of season.

114 was uploaded by someone not from Asura team (they haven’t updated yet), but other translators. The chapter text did seem a bit sloppy, like machine translation (I can see so because I read raw Korean chapters with Google translator as well). Would prefer to see AkumaKira upload from Asura next time TT. Not for me, but for other readers.

I wholeheartedly disagree with everything the person below me, named ‘feh’, said:3
- “but now they're constantly messing with the plot. like it's not just hyunjae/yoojin interactions anymore”
If you wish the writers adapted almost/every single character interaction, they’d have to work 10 or, most likely, more years just to adapt 870+ main story and extra chapters. And that’s with almost no break as well because iirc, they’ve only taken it 5 times at max so far for the past 2 years. Do you understand how much hard work it is? To plan the dialogue, the panels, new character designs, action and slice-of-life scenes and also make it all look engaging and awesome for both OG fans and newcomers? For every single chapter that is released weekly? Do you honestly want the adaptation team to work so much for the next 15 years?
“Nooooo, they didn’t show Hyunje saying ‘The one who falls for the other first is the one who loses’! This is shit adaptation!!” - I honestly saw people say stuff like this and I imagine there’re worse examples online.
- “They skipped the part after the mermaid dungeon where hyunjae gives yoojin a watch, which he refuses when yoohyun says that he wanted to give him one instead. … trust me when i say, it is very important.”
Some readers complained Myungwoo was cut out from the manhwa, only for his arc to immediately follow Yerim’s. Others dropped the adaptation because Blackie’s last memories and Yoojin’s regrets were skipped in chapter 38 - but they showed up in the ch. 40. You follow what I’m saying here?
- “yet they're adding all that extra "comedy" panels, which may seem funny but are honestly doing way too much. it's not translating the impeccable humor, that is literally one of the best things about the novel.”
I’m sorry you ended up as the 2% of the audience who didn’t find the adaptation’s humor funny. Sounds like a you problem :c
- “a lot of it is because they really ruined yoojin's character in the manhwa- his humor in the novel is a lot more "polite sarcasm", it is honestly so great. he has so much depth and gravity in the novel, so much more capable and complex. novel yoojin my beloved. manhwa yoojin Who tf are you.”
If you missed all the “polite sarcasm” Yoojin scenes in the manhwa - that’s just skill issue. You must have read his deep and emotional parts with eyes closed as well, idk)
- “this is really a mediocre adaptation if you have read the novel. they should change the script writer and storyboardist. I love the character designs though (except yoojin's ngl i don't like it. but yoohyun's design here <333 hyunjae's is ok, kinda mid. yerim and hyuna i love <3)”
Life goes on.
Guys, read the novel and the manhwa adaptation, they’re both peak and are a nice addition to each other Support the official sources too if you can! ^^

May contain spoiler
I dont read novels cz they make me sleepy.. I need pictures.. But so far.. I think all characters here have depths.. Well written/portrayed character.. I cried n laugh through reading this.. Like me laughing when yoojin get caught in recent t chps during their sitcom then bawling reading yoojin's wish for normal life.. Tho my fav is myujin.. My love for other characters are not lacking as they are all well liked and lovable.. Really like how yoojin in "ruling" these top classes.. My husband.. Hahaha

What I absolutely love about the novel and adaptation is their ability to perfectly mix lighthearted absurdness with poignant and thought-provoking parts. One moment you're laughing at Yoojin's and his babies' antics, the next - you just sit there, with a heavy heart. The happier are the characters, the more painfully their grief and tears hit you.
But what's even more amazing is the story's subtle ways to show motives and emotions. That cheeky half-smile half-smirk, that slight shadow over the character's face, that awkward but necessary incompleteness of the dialogue, that warm light filling the character's eyes, that unspoken regret behind a certain S-class officer's face and his surprising indecisiveness.
I can't stop reading each chapter over and over, savoring its art and dialogue. I also hope other fans too pay a lot of attention to the writers, artists and their amazing work)

Peak comedy aside, I absolutely loved Yoojin’s expression when he looked back at the bewildered Song Taewon at the beginning of this chapter. That cheeky half-smile, half-smirk. He’s the winner here. He’s the one in control.
And Yoojin surrounded by the obedient little brothers, who looked at him with adoration and reverence, was fantastic to see. He gives the S-classes sincere love, and they will serve him - their hyung, their Queen - at any moment.
…(Sigh). Taewon, you’re long way from being able to bear Yoojin’s bs without that dead look on your face.

Masterclass at plot, characters and art once again. Just the way Yoojin’s face lit up upon hearing his old friend’s voice made me sob like a little kid. I love Yoojin so much. I treasure him. I treasure everything about this story. It deserves adaptations, an Oscar, a Grammy, a Nobel Prize, worldwide recognition, intergalactic popularity.

DAMN, I can’t believe the scans team (Asura) missed the last couple of pages that would totally add context and hype for the next chapter It happened before as well btw. Wonder when they’ll stop rushing updates and start proofreading more throughly.

Hey, I do buy them, and official English ones as well) I’m not even mad for my sake. I just don’t like that other readers can’t enjoy the story fully -> some make faulty assumptions that this is how the author abruptly ended the chapter -> they end up disliking it. I’m angry, because I love this story too much for my own good.

To be fair, I think they did original uploader on Asurascans did miss those last panels. They were there when I went to check just now, but people in the comments were talking about how the chapter was missing things and someone even provided a screenshot of the panels that they were originally missing. It’s nice that there since fixed this, but there definitely used to be a problem on their end

Then I'd like to apologize to @AkumaKira for pushing the blame to the upload on this side when the problem was on the original site. I'd seen the full chapter already and just assumed the one on their site had been uploaded correctly. I'm sorry for being so harsh right out of the gate.
And for the OP, I also apologize for making assumptions. Translating is hard work, and I've seen a lot of people in here getting real comfortable and demanding, completely forgetting that everybody is getting basically free labor. However, this doesn't give me the right to lump everybody together and attack indiscriminately when there are people who genienly love the story and support the author.
Again, I'm really sorry to both of you.

All is good ^^
I knew that you didn’t mean anything bad and that you merely wished to protect the translation team. I, for one, do read pirated scans (while also supporting the official ones) and I respect their work, though morally incorrect. I’m just particularly mad at Asura for monopolizing lots of manhwas, grabbing new projects and abandoning old ones just as easily and sometimes not even doing a great job at translating/uploading stuff.
There're 3 review chapters for the end of first season and it seems like no English scan group has taken the initiative to translate them. If you've seen them on Naver, you know they're VERY long and informative, 1) with character profiles and trivia, 2) Webtoon writer Seri telling about the hard adaptation process and 3) Webtoon artist Biwan revealing difficulties of the drawing part. I MTL-ed the chapters for myself and they were so fun to read.
I hope official English Webtoon translates them when S1 ends there, our S-class fandom can't miss such content...
