I like the general plot but the way this author treats women disturbs me… like why are the two female villains the ones who are raped. Why is rape the go-to punishment for them. Why did the sister almost get almost raped. Ugh. And atp I need more romantic development and less “villain of the week” type shit.

My bad! That was sexual assault not rape since there was no penetration. I was confused why you didn't mention the guys but then realised they were different by looking up the definition. My guess is for the teacher because she sexually assaulted students so it was a taste of her own medicine. As for the first female Shirayuki was just jealous so it was not at all justified. I agree with you hopefully they stop it with the raping there are many other forms of torture like breaking bones/nails. Maybe the author is not experienced in them so they repeat the same punishments. And to add to the way she treats women she made the sister look bad as well by not allowing Shirayuki to like the brother but accepts him if he likes her instead.

I’m not one to be against stories with lots of rape, but in this one… the uke kind of feels less-than-human at some points just because of how used and manipulated he is. It may be intentional, but imho, it’s a writing flaw. if you’re trying to write a “good” relationship like this it’s totally possible without making the uke some depressing joke.
I’m so fuckinf jealous it’s not even funny……. WHEN IS IT MY TURN!?!?
