I would necessarily say I liked him, but his determination to make a difference for himself in order to get better for shin is what made me have respect for him. plus gren was shins only family, so I didn’t want him to die

See, to me just came off as selfish and using the fact that Shin saw him as family as a way to leech on, which, could have made for an interesting addition to the story. But his character just seemed to be a plot device to get the story from point A to point B. So to me he just came off as purely an annoyance that added nothing then died
