It’s ironic that the dude who stole a valuable wand from the royal family is calling the dad a traitor. If anything he’s just as bad since he’s the royal keeper who’s greed took over rather than doing his damn job. Oh well at least we don’t get to see him again, almost feel bad for the nephew whose been brought up like this. Environment plays a big role on the outcome of a child, so hopefully in the future he learns from his mistakes.
I think it’s safe to say that people should be able voice their own opinion about this manga without such negative feedback. I get it, you like this trope and art style, I did too that’s why I read 11 chapters of it. But let’s get things straight, if I don’t like a the docile MC, that doesn’t mean I hate shojo. I’ve been reading this stuff for a long while, and granted I do get tired of it now that I’m an adult, but that doesn’t mean I’ll quit it. But my wishes about having a diff narrative about a MC makes for a good plot. Just check out my holy grails for mangas, and some of them are really good.
Now let’s talk about each individual responded since I have time on my hands and I just finished a genetics exam:
If I don’t like how the MC is portrayed (unresisting and meek) why don’t I just stop reading?
For starters, I’ve read up to 11 chapters I’m going to continue. Why would I waste my time already? And secondly, this manga isn’t the worst thing I’ve read, but it isn’t the greatest by any means. I can have opinions about something and still continue to read it. As I’ve stated I want to see where it’s going, and whether or not the mc will grow a backbone.
The MC was in an abusive relationship therefore she is conditioned to being meek.
This one I get, and I didn’t really think much of it. Yes I can see how her attitude towards people of power can play a role into her subservient nature. I get that. But so far, let’s look at the big picture: for her to get better she needs the ML which I disagree. It’s for plot sake, but I wished that it portrayed more than just the ML helping her, I want more friends and family (family meaning no blood relatives) to show support during these times. As of right now, the ML is the only one directly helping the MC. The lady nanny (too late for me to think of the actual name), has indirectly helped her by spying but only because of the ML. And the rope thing happened because of the MC didn’t know what to pick out for the ML. I just want more people to support her. I was rooting for the other dude, but he did nothing. (Which I get to show how society’s naivety towards abuse and being a by standard) but also I don’t think it’s that deep.
Now let’s talk about how people are approaching opinions:
For one, I don’t care if you thumbs down, it’s your own opinion about something. But if you just say to stop reading it, there’s no real conversation. It’s basically talking to a brick wall, and it’s very childlike to do so. (although y’all are not social justice warriors, just butthurt about the opinions of others both ways). But also is it really that bad to say negative things about this manga? If y’all are saying that you’re showing support, this is an illegal site so paying for the actual release is more supportive than commenting.
Do y’all can keep writing a long ass comment like this, but THINK before you post. Is it true? Is it inspiring? Is it kind? And also don’t post anything you’ll regret because believe me, fighting in the comments about this silly book will make you regret things when you look back. Like come back in a month, and see if you’re still fine with the things you post.
I think the Mc has antisocial disorder, or something close to that. It’s definitive that the Mc doesn’t care about others except that one dude (I’m bad at remembering names). The mirror represents his actual mind, and he’s having all of these psychotic ticks going off because he’s been living the life of a lie. He’s acting like a normal person, when in fact he knows he’s different. He will hurt and kill others to benefit himself. He will step over people without a care, except this time, he wants his childhood friend. My theory is that both of them have antisocial disorder (or something close), and they can relate to each other so they feel the need to have (?) each other. No sane person would get mad enough to put out a cig on a forehead. And the reason why the other guy has it (his friend) is when you can tell he has clinical intentions, but switches to a nice person when he wants something (like chatting with his publisher in the cafe).
I’m thinking they both have ptsd. Something happened in that room, and the childhood friend now wants the MC to open the door.
With ptsd, it’s a lot of “fight or flight” instincts. People going through trauma will either lash out, hide, or unconsciously seek that trauma.
If you notice, abusers tend to be victims of abuse themselves. “My father hit me too” etc etc.
They both share a common trauma, the MC is hallucinating and trying to cope. He even FORGOT the source of trauma, while the childhood friend grew up remembering everything.
The childhood friend gives off a cold kinda scary feel while the main character is being strung along by these new waves of emotions, the childhood friend, and having to keep up with his everyday stuff.
Anxiety disorders like this tend to take a toll mentally and physically. Trying to cope with unknown feelings and not being able to control your emotions makes everything worse.
This last chapter reflected on some heavy topics. For starters, unable to tell fiction from reality really speaks to me. When I’m reading a book or watching a show, afterwards I still feel like I’m in that fictional world. I’m Sherlock Holmes solving a mundane case, my brain conceptualizes words and lines crossing over. At that moment, I know that I could leave and think normally but it’s so hard. Of course it doesn’t last forever, but at that very moment I understood what the author was trying to portray. Similarly, I feel like drug addicts are almost too similar to that dude author. You can’t tell what’s reality and what’s made up, they can’t tell if a figure there is really reality or something else.
Hopefully by the end of this, the MC will be able to move past his trauma, and either embrace his fictional world or control it. I think a psychiatrist is needed for him, but a last this is a manga and I don’t think that will happen.
Shiratori lived with a boy who was an omega. He felt like it was his fault that the omega would get locked up, because his father would abuse the omega. Later on he freed the kid, and the kid left the place never to come back again. Then shiratori worked with the beta dude (forgot his name),and the beta dude ended up being promoted instead of shiratori. This made him jealous, and started his own company. However to top it off, the beta’s close friend or brother ended up bonding to the omega (that was friends with shiratori) and he saw this and went crazy. I’m pretty sure the elevator scene tells us that he’s still traumatized for his friend hence the lock and key and the fact that he can’t be in confined spaces. Also the picture frame in the last chapter showed that he was with the blonde haired dude from the elevator scene and so they must’ve been friends or something from a young age.
And why does he had to take everything away from the beta (Utou), he was so nice to him, he even objected about the project. Okay I get his point of view, he could just do the same, take away his project but, why everything he held dear, he didn't do anything wrong, unless he's in love with Utou which I doubt it, he should've thought more!
I doubt anyone will read this but thank you for the hard work. I’ve been a fan of this author for a long time, and it’s not easy to translate and clean his/her works. It gets pretty messy, and it really shows you’ve done such a good job cleaning it, so I am forever in your debt. Thank you for the hard work, whilst working your day job. And if I might ask, where do you get your raws from? Raws can get pretty expensive lol.
*If you ever need any help, I’ll be willing to do so, but I have no expertise so I don’t think you would want to train a newbie.*
The sunbae and unnie are ending up together yesssss. My life is complete!!
