As in most time travel stories, different decisions and choices created a different destiny. The author took on the difficult task of making the reader hate the emperor then slowly empathize and fall for him as the FL decisions changed both his and her destinies. It was very creative and I appreciate the authors work.
There were huge redundancies. The story of the fire over and over. The pace was weird. Really slow at first then it went very fast. Good story. Just could have used some tweaks.
