'Hikaru' is a pro when it comes to traumatizing people lmfao I cannot believe it

While this isn't nearlyyyy as bad as the manga I'm mentally comparing it to, it still irks me when a story unfolds similarly to this one even if it's just a little bit cause... Wtf haha Why does anyone have to “understand” your partner's sudden need to take care of someone else? Why does anyone have to be okay with your partner neglecting them for some random guy they just met? No dude, when Rou made Yoshino sound crazy for saying he should tell the other guy he has a BOYFRIEND I was like: Huh?! “He hates me, don't worry” You don't know that lmao?!! And if he did, why are you still there?! Rou even said that if he weren't single, he would have gone after Hibiya. Omfg, I have my brother Yoshino in the trenches, but there was never a time when his feelings were taken seriously. Bye.

I've never had a problem reading these types of relationships, as long as they are self-aware and address them throughout the story in a way that is believable for the characters. While Seo-in is not my favorite protagonist, I appreciate that the story takes its time to understand and dissect why he is the way he is, and I enjoy reading about how he thinks, speaks, and acts based on these fundamental aspects. I really like that his story arc consists of becoming the person who basically destroyed his life so that he can live with what he has left, and how that fact causes him shame to such an extent that it troubles him to see that Yeongwoon is still a good person. That fact not only distorts his perception of their relationship, both in the past and in the present, but also causes him to rethink the reason why he is the way he is. It's not a 3 chapters speed run where the character suddenly feels “regret”. No, it is the conclusion of everything we have seen up to this point that makes this conclusion so very, very satisfying.

At what point does someone stop being sympathetic to another person's doubts? Because that was horrible lmao I get it. I love Mr. Jim as much as the next person, but WOW, those words are the kind of shit that explains the origin of a villain.

I am beyond curious to know why a person who couldn't stand watching injustices and was not afraid of being vocal about it despite the consequences... Now, he would rather stay silent and even question if he has the right to anything. You can say that he is being professional or that he still doesn't know what to think about Haeyool, but after all the hints of his past and how his mental health was destroyed over the years... Yeah, I'm really curious about what happened to him.

It's not crazy to imagine a scenario where the victim becomes the victimizer, especially if their target is someone whom they either have a big feeling of grudge against or have something that could make them feel stronger. In this case, Seunghyun is BOTH of them. Nobody can ever deny that Yuta indeed drugged, kidnapped, and r4pe Seunghyun in the first chapters. Yuta did it to feel empowered, to humiliate him so deeply that he would never be able to forget him. Hell, Yuta has made very clear that it's his main goal. Was it fucking disgusting? Yes, of course it was. It doesn't matter if Seunghyun didn't keep up his word (we still don't know anything about what happened), because as I said, his main goal was nothing but to humiliate him.

With that being said, Seunghyun is just as much an abussive scumbag as Yuta and ALL the clients he was talking about. He also did it out of anger, to dehumanize him and to show dominance. Did he do it out of retaliation? Obviously. Does that excuse him? Of fucking course not. It just shows he is just as violent as an animal, he even compares himself to one. They are both violent, and it's pretty clear they are more than willing to use sex as punishment. At this point, this story is anything but love between two normal people. Both of them are terrible people trapped in a terrible situation where they torture each other until someone is down. That's it.

Personally, despite my tastes, I really like how Jo and Ian's relationship is evolving. Jo is oblivious of everything, literally everything. He is constantly exposed to a reality he doesn't know or understand. As much as Ian tries, he cannot escape who he used to be, despite wanting a second chance to be happy and to discover what he has been deprived of. Jo may say he's willing to give up everything for Ian to be by his side, but the anger and rage of not fully understanding him is what leads Jo to twist the way he sees not only Ian, but their relationship as a whole. The fact that TJ is no longer present does not mean that he is not relevant in Ian's life, because as long as he is constantly dragged into that violent world, he would still be connected to TJ since he is violence itself. Like -- omfg this can't get anymore poetic.

My only complaint is that Jo is acting like this for a man he quite literally just met like-- geez. chill tf That's why I prefer TJ (in essence, cause he is a concept at this point, barely appears lmao). But again, that's just my personal taste. Still, I LOVE this story
