She used to live her life without much of a purpose before and never wanted attention from anybody. But after experiencing multiple life or death situations, the trauma of being abducted for child labor, and now losing her spirit, her character is changing.
I’m sure that this new determination she has will not be 100% good. You can see that she might get obsessed with training in the future which will likely be harmful to her, but it will definitely move the plot forward in a natural way.
I’m here for the food competitions y’all. Nothing else. The family drama is just absurd and it was all resolved way too fast. I see where the character development is headed and honestly, not a fan of it.

I love how we all look up to Pauliana even though she is a fictional woman living in medieval times and we sympathize a lot with her struggles although we live in an era when women legally have more freedom. Idk, this manhwa just feels super important to me. It’s way more about womanhood than about romance and I’m super happy with that.
I love the writing of this story and thanks to the translators for making it possible for us to read it. I would probably cry if S2 scans were to snipe this one ╥﹏╥
