Personally for me, this manhwa is a rare instances where I like the manhwa adaptation more than the novel. The last chapter in the novel is titled "The end of the Nightmare", symbolising the end of Youngwon hellish punishment, for he was the main reason that caused the viral outbreak in the first place, and that was his grave sin, at least according to him.

The novel and manhwa had a slight differences towards the ending. But in both novel and manhwa, Hohyun and Youngwon successfully escape their campus, and Hohyun had an antibody to fight off the virus, so he won't mutate into a zombie.

I dont think groomed is the correct word in this situations, even Yullur is rejecting Saya affection. Its mainly Saya who wants Yullur, all Yullur did was be present in his life.

The few pages before was definitely a flashback but the next few pages were him dreaming about that kiss

He flat out rejected him and the kiss thing was a dream, even if it was a dream about the past, things can alter what happened with desire in dreams.
No no it was definitely a flashback turning into a dream. You can see he’s older by the end of it, looking like how he looks now. It was his own desire shifting the memory, not a real flashback (and that’s why he wake up startled immediately after)
