In the past weeks I read all these discussion, and I never participated ‘cause I just wanna avoid any problem, this kind of fights are exhausting.
But now I just wanna write my opinion, and how this story is gonna end from my point of view (I apologize if I make any mistake, English is not my native language).
First of all, I really love the previous work, “Fools”, so I know the creators can make a mature, realistic and well-worked romance, with zero toxicity where the characters have a good development.
So, having this in mind and with all the information they gave us in this first season, I suppose there are two possible endings: Haesoo choose Taku over Jowoon, or he stay alone, but keeping a friendship with these two. For me, it’s pretty clear that Jowoon it’s not the end game, I think that the author gave us some clues since the beginning (for instance in the third chapter, when the cup fall and broke, as a analogy of their relationship and how it’s destined to break, or even the last chapter, how Jowoon left Haesoo’s house).
But whatever the ending is gonna be, it’a gonna have the same outcome: Haesoo learning how loves himself and stars to be more honest with others (Jowoon, his mum, etc.), Jowoon learning from his past mistakes and correct his behavior (respect others decisions, not fool around and be more assertive with his words and manners), and Taku being the guide between Haesoo and Jowwon in order to leave behind their toxic and abusive relationship, and finally have a new beginning in their life where they can find someone who really deserves them.
Those are my assumptions.
I really believe that Taku is the end game. If this work were from any of other author, I would think that all this will end with Haesoo choosing Jowoon. But this story since the beginning has showed me that it’s different and and the development of all its characters matter.
I agree with you about Joowon and Haesoo. They are not meant to be together. Because if they stay together ,Haesoo will always be a underdog and feel guilty about himself. On the other hand Joowon should always hide his relationship in avoid risking his position in society and his career because of the taboo. Just remember what almost happend to the girl whom he rumered to have relationship with. She could have lose her contracts and job. I do not see a future with these two brothers. About Taku, he is a mystery. We do not know much about his past . All he mentioned was a porn video with his ex-now porn star-boyfriend on his 18th birthday which probably was his ex's first porn video. Taku also had said sth about different taste of chocolates and everyone has a different taste. In his first sex with Haesoo we saw him having a lollipop in his mouth and some others in a drawer. With the same analogy you said , Haesoo is one of the lollipops and there will be other lollipops for Taku. I think Taku likes to taste different types of people to achieve every aspect of erotism to make his art perfect. But for now i want Haesoo to be with Taku , otherwise he will not grow in anyway with Joowon.
