let's just say I've had a bad day. I'm sick and tired of crying so I just wanna get into a better head space.

is this an asian thing or like a my parents thing?
and i mean taking full responsibility of elderly parents, financially and physically. they live with you and everything. my parents dont even have a retirement fund
also, i wanna be a diplomat for my country and i don't think my parents realize that entails me going off to some other country

Definitely Asian. I mean there may be a few others who aren't Asian who have to deal with this but I most commonly see it in Asians.
throwing parents into a nursing home isn't good, but like, it is not good that as an only child, I am my parents' retirement plan/fund ._.
