It’s interesting how readers for this manhwa don’t like Gunner compared to readers of Wet Sand who LOVE TJ even though both characters are objectively bad partners and very toxic/abusive. Just a little observation cause I personally also hate Gunner and I also hate TJ. It’s refreshing when people use their brains.
I think it’s because in Wet Sand, Ian and TJ have a mutual like..attraction? Obsession? They can’t seem to stay away from each other. On the other hand, Theo wants to actively avoid Gunner. He wants nothing to do with him. That makes Gunner come across as more of an asshole when he tries to pursue Theo.

No romantic chemistry..? What? I’m not sure if the raws and translations are caught up, but from what I’ve read, there is definitely chemistry there.
TJ is just a past he want to forget about and you can see Ian has a soft spot for Jo in an amount of short time how he cares for Jo said it all who he has feeling for now
Yeah I think fans also selectively forget that TJ basically ruined Ian’s career and nearly killed him just to keep him close. He also purposely sent him to jail. Just cause Ian consents to their sexual encounters doesn’t mean TJ isn’t abusive and I think fans forget that. He completely abuses the power he has to force Ian to stay in close proximity to him/be indebted to him which is super unhealthy.

Originally, the mc and the 2nd male lead were supposed to be fayed partners but their strings snapped and so their ties were severed. The 2nd male lead liked the older brother and he thought that was his true love bc the shame didn't specify who. So after rejecting the mc, he tried to go for the older brother. I think the 2nd male lead has mixed feelings rn or at least that's what I feel. And he went to the shaman because that shaman owed debt but he made a bet with the 2nd male lead that about the 2nd male leads relationship. Yes! The mc is in love with the blonde guy guy but that psychopath doesn't know he's in love with mc. He's tripped by guilt and doesn't know what love is. He's a fucking psychopath. I don't think he'll ever be normal bc Imo I hate his guts cuz what he said to our baby boy. If he's gonna redeem himself, it'll prob take 100 chapters.

I understand TJ fans hate Jo but I think people need to consider what Ian wants. Even before meeting Jo he was ready to leave. And now that he has Jo he doesn’t mind leaving with him. I’m sure things are going to get very complicated from this point but you cant deny that Ian likes being with Jo.
Didn’t TJ do a lot of fucked up things to Ian? Like manipulative things that really changed the trajectory of his life? Ian was never comfortable with the things he had to do in the gang. I don’t see why everyone loves TJ when all he does is hold Ian back.

because when people consider a character hot? they can do no wrong and when that character has some sad backstory or the author wants to make you feel sorry them, people will find ways to justify the characters behavior.
