I thought the same. He even acted like he would get pissed if Takashi had complained about the woman or acted jealous. I like this story and I like the manager, for the most part, but that scene was really disappointing to me. He had the opportunity to show a bit more sweetness and it was missed. He doesn't come across as a totally asshole character, but he could do with a few more sweet scenes. As for Momoe, I hate characters, and people in real life, who act like that. Just because you used to date a person doesn't give you the right to act like you can run your ex's life or decide who is, or isn't, right for them. She had no right to say anything about Takahshi being good enough or not, that is for Haruhiko to decide. I also found her wishy washy attitude about her fiance and Haruhiko appalling. She has a fianceé but she still wants to cling to her ex. Greedy little witch, isn't she? If I were in the fianceé's shoes I'd be thinking twice about marrying her. Who will she cling to next? Shouldn't she be clinging to her fianceé? Honestly, from the flashback scenes, it seemed like she had just forced Haruhiko to date her and he wasn't all that interested in her to begin with. She seemed to push herself on him and he would use any excuse at all to cancel on her. She just couldn't get the hint. She is the selfish type who dates someone just to satisfy her own needs, desires and sense of accomplishment. What the other person thinks or feels is irrelevant to them. I assume the fianceé is just a push over and she asked him to marry her just to be able to say she was engaged and not because she loves him. I feel kinda bad for him, since she would have gone back to Haruhiko if he had been unattached. So, yeah, I didn't like her either. LOL
