I love the author's art since The Unquenchable Mr. Kim, and I think it's good that the author chose a totally different type of storyline in this one.
Some people might not like it because there are clearly multiple toxic characters or/and relationships, but I don't think it's a bad story just because there's a toxic/bad characters.
I fell for Jiheon's appearance at first, but I ended up not liking him due to his personality, especially his manipulative behavior towards Wooju, and he's too controlling despite just being a "childhood friend".
I think Sunjoon is a little bit better and I like him, probably because he's pretty straightforward and not hiding his intention with ridiculous excuses..? But since the main couple is Jiheon and Wooju, I hope Sunjoon would have other person that's cute and charismatic as his significant other later!
Wooju is just too naive and ignorant for his own good, easily get swayed by Jiheon. But I don't know what happened to him before about the kidnapping and I'm looking forward to season 2 to get the story unfold.
Also, I totally love Haeseo, she's totally my type! I wish the author would make a side story about her, but I don't think that would happen tho.
Totally did not dissapoint at all. I love the art, characters, and story.
Jonathan is gorgeous, Makoto is somehow alluring, but to be honest my favorite character of all is Datensho.
I am happy that Datensho is free from that brothel and finally be able to love, or perhaps having a special or intimate bond, with Shax. A seemingly mature and intelligent demon with an honest and soft demon, lovely.
I did think about how the story will end, would Jonathan and Makoto end up being together peacefully, or maybe one of them would fall..?
I cried the moment Jonathan said Makoto's name and shattered, completely disappeared leaving Makoto devastated. I believe Jonathan felt the same for Wald and was not able to completely move on.
Yes, I believe Makoto did attracted and entertained Jonathan in more than one way, but it did not erase Jonathan's memory, feeling, and desire for Wald. He also admitted that it was lonely being on the top of the hell, plus Makoto used that drug that reminded Jonathan of his past, refreshing all his memories of Wald.
I am fully satisfied now and grateful for the author, translator, and uploader.
p.s. I like Makoto better with long hair.

From what I remember, Makoto did not purposely make Datensho a prostitute at his own brothel. But, after Makoto instigated Datensho to spill some information about Jonathan (which Jonathan was actually from the slum) to overthrow him, Datensho felt guilty that he has betrayed Jonathan. He drowned in guilt that he is unable to manage the brothel, then finally Jonathan asked Fjord to take over the brothel and Fjord made Datensho a prostitute there.
Then after some time, Makoto went back there to see Datensho became a popular prostitute. Later Makoto need an information from Shax about Jonathan (which is J's real name) which of course he needed to make a deal with Shax. Turns out Shax is attracted and has feelings for Datensho, that's why they made a deal. Shax will try to find J's real name (Jonathan) and Makoto will free Datensho from the brothel and bring him to Shax.
So, in the end Makoto paid Fjord to buy Datensho from the brothel and bring him to the slum to Shax.
Sorry for the long paragraph, I hope you understand.

I do think Dear Door deserves better quality in every aspect because it is an amazing story. But I know that what you do is not an easy thing, it also needs some efforts and I do appreciate all the effort that you did so far.
However, it would be great if you can take your time to present a better quality images and translation, no need to rush, uploading after 3 to 7 days after the original release is totally fine!
But in the end it would be your choice, if you decided to drop it, than I think the readers on mangago couldn't do anything and don't have the right to complain to you.
