So basically his older brother and Hayoon were dating. The older brother wants to hide the fact that he's gay and their relationship so he had a mutual fake relationship with this girl who's the social outcast. The fake relationship was planned by Hayoon and maybe some other members of the reading club? (I have the memory of a goldfish) The girl liked their fake relationship and agreed because that meant she wasn't alone at school anymore. Hayoon didn't like that the girl was growing fond of the fake relationship so I think he wanted them to "break up"? The girl wanted to keep the fake relationship because she didn't want to go back to her old school life and threatened to take her life or tell people about his relationship with Hayoon? (don't remember) if the older brother "broke up" with her. So the older brother was stressed about the whole thing and told her to just go die or he didn't care or something? Then the next day she committed suicide on the school roof. Although the members of the reading club and Hayoon were definitely in on it with the whole fake relationship thing they placed the blame on the older brother. The older brother couldn't take it anymore with being trapped in a sickly body, being gay, is also at part for a student taking her life so he also committed suicide. (Since he has this ideal image that people had of him, he was apart of the student council, had a good natured personality with other students, and has good grades despite being sickly)
The younger brother found out about everything mentioned above and it turns out his parents knew the whole time about his cause of death because they found out (through the school board?) but the mom is in denial and doesn't believe (I think I saw a panel where the mom was like my son is not gay referring to the older brother). After the whole trouble of transferring schools and going through so much to find out the reason behind his brothers death he doesn't do anything about it and just leaves the school although he is more than a semester through. Packed his bags and yeeted although his roommate told him to stay and that was what Hayoon and the others wanted him to do (leave without doing anything-and that's what he ended up doing)
