It's been so long since I've read this part in the novel, but you can read the Kraken/Ocean Arc in volume 5 "Mixed Fried Foods and the Sea Monster" if you want to read some missing parts. But since they already showed the dragon here, that's the last scene of this volume so you can actually start in volume 6 "Meat Soboro Rice Bowls and the Holy Seal."

don't take this the wrong way but did you skip a few chapters while reading this?
crown prince is from another nation and has no blood ties to ml's family. flora is her half sister, her mom is the king's concubine while ml's mom was the former queen
