I love how everybody acting like she's not going through the stages of grieving her family. I'm sorry that it wouldn't take you a long time to come term's with NEVER seeing your family again. I mean yeah her new family are wonderful, but it's not like it weren't unexpected as fuck, with the way she died and magic being present I don't expect her to just get over it even after seven months. Really think about it guys, would you?
Think of it like becoming an orphan after having a wonderful family that unexpectedly died and having an equally loving and wonderful Foster family. I still doubt that within the first few months you're not gonna feel some resentment and grief, you're not thinking about accepting them because you're still holding onto how it was before.
Every fiction has a different set of rules when it come to magic, its origin, how its used whether with spells, potions, will power etc, until she learns this world's set of rules of magic she won't stop, but then again denial will probably mean she won't stop anyway, I just like that this manwha doesn't gloss over the loss part cos I forgot how sad it actually would be.
The male lead told her he'd consider her offer if she took a spiked drink and let him and Othe rest of guys in the building have their way with her, and you feel sorry for him, whether or not that should be indicator for her to leave him alone, he's not exactly a great guy so why are you so concerned about him, I mean it's not like she's actually asking for a lot, he said himself that he'll end up divorcing her so if there no big fucking consequence then how can you all act like she's completely uprooting his life like he's been in failed marriages before, she's one the improving his reputation here.
Please don't be like if the roles were reversed you'd hate her either cos as a man who also happens to be the King's bastard, he has a lot more power and status to get out of the situation, and that's half the reason shes had to do so much to get him. I mean yeah manipulating a person unrelated to her situation ain't great but if the roles were reversed and she treated men, the way he's does women (seriously can anyone who gives a person a spiked drink and tells them what he told her to do, be a person we should pity in a PLATONIC arranged Marriage, you just don't say that to a person without or without status even if they turn up to your place univited, THAT is fucked up, whether joking or not), his love for sex and debauchery completely put aside because who gives a shit, I'm not judging, you would all be feeling a lot less sorry for her and upset and saying that actions have consequences and that she's just being a whiny bitch.
I also would like to point out that there's another side to the story. We've been seeing shit from his pov with only a small look into her pysche, so there is bias at play.
Honestly I don't even care if you think she's a bitch just calm down and give her chance,we have a wonderful set of three dimensional characters here where the things they do in relation to a moral compass are tainted in varying shades of gray, whether or not the Duke is a weirdo drink spiker, he's a character that I feel has other sides to him that I would like to explore it doesn't mean I will like him but I would like to appreciate the authors ability to create complex characters who can be morally ambiguous without being either a completely pure hearted soul or a completely horrible person.
I just want you to think about it from her perspective: marry an old king in a different country away from all I know, with little support and protection from her family back home, they aren't gonna be able to respond to threats quickly and without it seeming like she's a spy or that she's unloyal to the king, she will have to somewhat blindly form alliances without a somewhat firm idea of who to trust - there not gonna give her to settle before they start on her - OR make a guys life a little bit difficult through a mariage in which he still gets to do whatever the fuck he wants, his reputation improves and the people around will stop pestering him to once again marry, and he can divorce if he's really unhappy anyway or don't forget the dowry that will make him richer. Hmm what sounds worse here inconvenience someone who's been married before and would end up doing so later on anyway, most definitely without the freedom she offers OR marry the king, tell me which path would you take, and if not either of these options what would be the alternative, remember you would need to find someone of royal status so as not to offend the King too deeply and on short notice may I add xx
I kinda see how some people are calling the MC sloppy and that the way she hopes herself up to be is below expectations but a few things: she's an assassin not a spy, interacting with people isn't exactly her forte.
Everytime she makes any progress in her job, there's the emperor, stopping her from doing what she needs to do by being unprofessional and sulky, giving her side jobs and a new identity and role (being Ba-An)
Then you've got the other two feeling curious enough to interrupt her with the Spanish inquisition and give her their own tasks when she sees them, maybe the fact they catch her in the act is a bad sign on her part, but I don't exactly blame her when she's hardly able to do the one job she was originally assigned with her actual employer and the people he has employed making her job harder without even ay outside disturbance from the rest of the court who might have problem with 'Yesuh'.
Maybe, just maybe she can't do anything we'll cos she can't exactly just go off-grid/under radar with the distractions she faces cos ignoring the emperor will do no good, neither will ignoring either of the silver haired dudes cos they'll just follow her or blackmail her.
Now that I think about it why and how the fuck does the emperor think sulking in front of his court officials with 'Yesuh' is gonna help her do the job he wants from her when he's just salty that she ain't interested, he's hardly helping when Hahae has to go tell the spy candidate that she may have slightly fallen out of favor with the emperor, we want blind adoration to fool the rest so that she can be seen as a real threat not just some girl that the emperor likes for a little while gets what he wants then dips, even a realistic fight between them could be good in faking the act.
He needs to smart thinking with a different body part and actually give a shit or something real stupid is gonna happen it's like he wants everyone to know he hired an assassin, 'Yesuh' had to say some pretty treasonous things to make it seem real that could be used against her. Who's he helping here? Along with blocking her from coming back through the hole after trying to get work done, aahh Im done. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I just feel like author's lost track of the main plot and ended up on tangent with no clear path path leading back to it, like having arches shows a sense is structure but this isn't it. I guess it just goes to show how difficult it is to make a story, I mean the direction you want the plot to flow will changes as you develop the characters and if you didn't have a very clear plot line from beginning to end then sticking to what you originally had in mind must be so difficult.
I love how none of the nobility actually gives a crap about the kids, other than to point out how horrible the parents are for neglect and abuse, it seems to me that they're being pretentious in stopping business with the count and icing out the countess, if none of them are concerned enough or prepared to take the ABUSED children in to a much more loving household. I'm even kinda sad that even Lippe thinks the count is fit enough to raise the children still, even if he won't abuse or neglect them, they won't be loved... its soo sad. ╥﹏╥
Rather be half-blood than fudging inbred and I seriously what makes the other royals purebred?!!
Im guessing being inbred
