Then at the end of the 4th chapter they both finally accuse the other, and talk it out in the fifth side story chapter.”

Both being idiots. Not confronting one another but hiding their insecurity because they think of trying to be an adult. One idiot didn’t think about letting his partner know that his car engine failed, and the other was cuddled up with the pink haired guy (unsure if on purpose but prob not).
