This storyline is all over the place. At first it was all 'eastern fantasy meets western fantasy', which i was totally loving. Then it turned into a genderbend and while I don't mind that it felt kinda forced in. Like I know it was to give him a setback so he could overcome it and grow even stronger but there's other ways to do it so that it feels more natural. Then suddenly we've got magical mechas??? Like wtf?? Swords and magic and dragons weren't enough, so they had to throw in some D&D style giant robots? Now we've got elemental spirits and doting dragon daddies? (tho who doesn't love a good dragon daddy) Like im so fucking confused, what's the actual theme to this manga?! I will say though I love the characters, they're all pretty well developed. The art is fantastic too. But it really feels like the author wanted to write a bunch of storylines so they crammed as many as they could into one manga

Listen, I love a good psycho character and everything, and Yul is a very pretty psycho, but I love them from a safe distance. This story is a pretty realistic example of why these types of characters are so problematic and why you shouldn't romanticize these types of controlling relationships. Yes he was abused and has mental problems, but that doesn't excuse what he does or make it OK just because he "loves" Sian. His every action is made to manipulate and isolate her so he can monopolize her. His obsession over her is extremely unhealthy, and kind of behavior will often lead to violence. Much as I like Yul as a character, I don't want him with Sian, and I hope he gets the professional help he so desperately needs.
And to the fucktards trying to say it was Sian's fault that Yul ended up this way: What kind of crack are you smoking?? This is in no way, shape, or form her fault. Saying that it is makes you no better than her mother saying that its her daughter's fault that creepy guys kept going after her. Victim blaming at its dumbest

Let's put aside Toya's half assed apology for a second, why didn't someone go off on Yuta for his shitty attitude?!? Like he was straight up nasty to Kazuma, blatantly fed the flames of the (dumb) misunderstanding, and was just plain homophobic in general. But Kazuma helped Toya out a little when he was sick, so now Yuta is just all "Well I guess I'll accept it for now" ????? It pisses me off that nobody put that brat back in his place
Holy shit, the awful name changes are really throwing me off
sooo true when i was telling a friend about this they asked how the name was of the character and i told them so many they asked me if i really like it that much why i dont know the name :D
