the author has such a sensitive touch and you can see it right away in how they draw. there's something i find so sad about the panel where kirishima pierces through aki/his virtual form, describing himself as ugly, cowardly and fundamentally disappointing; in stark contrast with how lovely he looks from mc's perspective in that moment but also irl, when mc is offering kirishima a towel--he honestly looked so breathtaking there.
mc too, who thinks he is unattractive but his smile is so radiant; you can really see his kindness and sincerity (that we'd seen from his thoughts--picking up on kirishima's loneliness and worry) shine through and idk i find him really beautiful.
the author's approach is really effective in demonstrating just how harsh we can be on ourselves; how, just as much as people's perception of us can be incredibly hurtful and damaging, it can also be so beneficial to undo and remake the image of ourselves. i really appreciate the existentialist themes the author is able to broach and it's only been 3 chapters T_Tb tysm for the translation op youre doing a fantastic job!
