She ends up with Daniel, ppl have commented how their romance happens naturally and rather slowly since Mil was prioritising her daughters, and if I remember right they don't have anymore children since Mil was happy taking care of her 3 girls (tho there's comments I've seen abt them having another child but I'm not sure about it being true) oh and they also reunite in the modern world

tbf it's not meant to be accurate and there needs to be an element of control in their relationship simply because of how unblanced their power is.

What I mean is that the MC is obviously an abuse victim who is thinks she needs to please her authority figure. In this case the duke (although he didn't willingly take on that role). Meanwhile the duke, without the maid telling him, would have assumed their had a perfectly harmonious marriage and treated her as such.

which theoretically speaken sounds nice but for her to go from "despised and negelected wife" to "Dukes appel of his eyes" would not only put her out of her comfort zone, she would constantly panik that her "authority figure" would be displeased with her as wife and take things aways from her, like the support system she build up with the servants or even physicallly abuse her. it get's worse if we add the insecurities of "what happens when he get's his memories back" and "Am I living a false life/ do I deserve this" to the mix.

Their relationship would be utterly toxic because she would mentally ruin herself while he would/could be oblivious to what he needs to do.

The servants being a support system for the duchess while also working as a control system for the duke is the best solution, since she wouldn't feel as weird about being taken care of by people whose literal job is taking care of her. People who are on "equal" status with her would only make her uncomfortable (see dukle)
